Oita Marine Palace Aquarium Umitamago | Park Place Oita
Here is a quick walkthrough of Umitamago aquarium and Play Kingdom Piikabu during our trip to Oita.
It rained during our trip so the aquarium got packed quickly causing us to miss the live walrus & dolphin shows. From there, we made our way to Park Place mall where it wasn't so crowded and enjoyed Play Kingdom to ourselves. We plan on making another trip so keep an eye out for a future video.

大分マリーンパレス水族館うみたまごで魚たちを見ていると、あ、この魚は○○さんに似ている、など、かわいい顔をした魚がたくさんいました。あくまでも「かわいい」は個人的な主感です。

大分マリーンパレス水族館うみたまごのセイウチ、「ミーちゃん」のパフォーマンスをご覧いただけます。ラッパ（笛？）の演奏、腹筋、投げキッス、ごあいさつなど、本当にセイウチがやっているの？中に人間が入っているのでは？と思わせるほどの芸、演技が続きます。セイウチのミーちゃん本人が言葉も何もかもわかった上で、観客を楽しませることを自ら楽しみながら（生きがいにしながら）やっているように見えます。犬、猫、鳥、猿、いずれの動物でもここまでの完璧な演技はできないと思います。あいさつの仕方やタイミングひとつをみても完璧でした。ミーちゃんの他に、ぶぶちゃん、泉ちゃん、温くんがいるようで、皆同じように上手な演技ができるようです。飼育員の方々の心からの深い愛情がなければ、これほどの強固な信頼関係は生まれないと思います。今回説明してくださった女性飼育員の方は、ミーちゃんが観客に危害を加えたり水をかけたるすることは絶対にない、と確信をもっています。だからキスシーンも安心して見ていられます。

実際の海の中を再現した水族館うみたまご Umitamago Aquarium in Oita
大分マリーンパレス水族館うみたまごにある大きな水槽は、大型潮流式回遊水槽と呼ばれ、水深が8メートルあり、大分県の近くの海の岩場を再現しています。大分県海域に生息する大型のサメやエイ等約90種1500点を展示、魚たちをあらゆる角度から眺めることができます。床の一部もアクリルガラス張りになっていて、まるで潜って海底まで行き、海面を見上げるような感覚で見ることができます。海底の岩陰には実際にウツボやエビなどが数多く生息していて、実際の海と同様の生態系を保っているようです。

Located within the hot springs prefecture of Oita in Kyushu is the world famous hot springs resort town of Beppu. It also has eight major geothermal hot spots, sometimes referred to as the eight hells of Beppu. They are presented to visitors in a rather touristy fashion.
Umitamago
Umitamago, is also known as Oita Marine Palace, is an attractive aquarium just outside of Beppu. The main water tank includes over 90 types, and 1500 fishes so if you stand on the glass floor you can feel like you are inside the ocean. Animals living in Umitamago include seals, otters, dolphins, penguins and various fish.
A visit to Umitamago Aquarium is best combined with a visit to the nearby Takasakiyama Monkey Park.

* Jiang line about bus ride Kannawa line, Kunisaki Line
It takes about a 10 minute bus ride.The Monkey Marine Ticket for 2260 yen consists of a round trip from Beppu to the Umitamago Aquarium and admission to the aquarium and nearby Takasakiyama Monkey Park.

別府・鶴見岳（Mt.Tsurumi in BEPPU,JAPAN）
別府の鶴見岳に登ってきました。これだけ雪が積もるのは山頂でも珍しいようです。
あいにく山頂付近は霧が深く、時折陽が差す程度でしたが天候が良ければ別府湾が一望出来たはずです。
