Ol-pejeta conservancy hosts a grave yard for Rhinos
Kenya’s wildlife and rich biodiversity serves a major attraction for tourists who troop to the various national parks and game reserves in their thousands annually to see them in their natural habitat.
However, renowned Ol-pejeta conservancy in the county of Laikipia county offers a rare attraction.
We are talking about a grave yard for rhinos. The area is designated for burying rhinos which died in the hands of poachers who hunt them for their precious ivory due to rising demand in parts of South and far East Asia.

THINGS TO DO IN NANYUKI PART 1 // OL PEJETA
Follow and support Ol Pejeta :
Hey guys!
This is a part one of a series called Things to do in Nanyuki for anyone planning to visit Nanyuki. Nanyuki is a town located in Laikipia County and is about a 4 hour drive from Nairobi. In this video I visited Ol Pejeta Conservancy with my friends. It’s about a 30 minute drive from Nanyuki town. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 360 km² not-for-profit wildlife conservancy in Central Kenya's Laikipia County. Situated on the equator west of Nanyuki, between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya.
I loved and enjoyed every bit of moment I was there. We paid the entrance fee of KES 1200 per person. This catered for entrance into the Rhino conservancy, Chimpanzee Sanctuary and the Hippo View Trail. There are also other activities highlighted in the video that feature activities offered and arranged by the conservancy itself. This shown in the video at 13:15
Be on the look out for Part 2 of this series! As always thank you so much for watching!!

A beautiful old ranch house, on the Ol Pejeta conservancy.
Only 3 hours drive from Nairobi on pretty good roads, it is 90,000 acres of pristine wilderness in the middle of Kenyas farming country. Once owned by Koshogi, the alleged arms dealer, it is a beautiful base to explore the surrounding conservancy.

Experiencing The Lion King movie in Real life - Honestly, I haven't watched the movie yet so i don't know what goes on, LOL
So guys, in the spirit of #TheLionKing movie and celebrating the #MagicalKenya , i decided to visit the beautiful OlJogi Wildlife conservancy ?Ol Jogi Reserve, I guess it’s called the ol Jogi ranch
it’s a 60 thousand acres of land private owned wildlife conservancy located in the Laikipia Plateau, Laikipia County, past a small town called Dol Dol
We spotted some white rhinos right at the entrance, A mother and a calf, Monkeys and some reticulated giraffes, ah and a photo i took of one was featured on the Ol jogi page on instaGram ????
This was my first time seeing a Rhino that close, for reals.
we then hiked the sandy landscapes which was caused by gully erosion as our guide said, so so beautiful, this was a lifetime experience for me.
also my first time being in close contact with Elephants, honestly. It was a beautiful beautiful day.
Then met Potap the bear, THE ONLY BEAR IN AFRICA,
he was donated from Moscow, Russia. our guide said he was as heavy as 500-700 kgs, i don’t know how that is possible but well he can go upto 890 kgs ...Loved him.
THIS TRIP WAS A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE FOR ME IN SO MANY WAYS, I'm happy i took it.

Northern Kenya Conservation Clubs - Ol Jogi primary pupils visit Mpala
As part of the education outreach program, Mpala invites and hosts at least 12 groups of primary school pupils every year. These schoolchildren are drawn from the Northern Kenya Conservation Clubs (NKCC) within the region. Each class consists of at least 30 pupils accompanied by two teachers. Equipped with a curriculum developed with help and resources from explore.org, Kenya Wildlife Service, Princeton University among others. The resources adapted for both Kenya and United States curriculum are free and have been made available online for teachers and students.
During the trips to Mpala Research Centre, a conservation club coordinator grants a guided tour that includes a visit to the live cameras control room before heading out for a game drive. At the hippo pool, pupils see their theory lessons come alive.
