The seventh day of my journey around China, where I travel from Shanghai, to Chongqing, Chengdu, Xi'an and Beijing. l arrive in Xi'an and head straight to one of the city's most iconic images, the Bell Tower. In 39C heat, I explore some of Xi'an's quieter side streets, and then go on to discover the thriving Muslim Quarter, tasting the local unique street food. After dark, I walk on top of Xi'an's Ancient City Wall, seeing spectacular views of the city by night.

Ciqikou old town, Chongqing China
Ciqikou (literally Porcelain Port) is an ancient town in the Shapingba District of Chongqing Municipality, People's Republic of China, originally called Longyinzhen was also known as Little Chongqing. According to an old Chinese proverb: One flagstone road, and one thousand years' Ciqikou. The name of the town can be traced back to porcelain production during the Ming (1368--1644) and Qing Dynasties. Formerly a busy port located at the lower reaches of the Jialing River, a thousand years after its foundation the town remains a symbol and microcosm of old Chongqing (Jiang Zhou). source: Wikipedia

China's Xi'an city and Italy's Veneto region will strengthen cooperation on old city wall protection.

Xi'an is one of the oldest cities in China, it served as China’s capital for more than 1,100 years.
The city wall was built starting from 1370. It is the world's largest city wall - 12 m/40 ft high, 15 m/50 ft wide on the top, 14 km/8.5 mi long. The Great Wild Goose Pagoda was completed in 652 (64 m/210 ft), and was built to store the translations of Buddhist sutras obtained from India. The Small Wild Goose Pagoda was completed in 707. The Grand Mosque, 8th century, is the oldest mosque in China, it blends Islamic and Chinese architecture styles.

Raffles City Chongqing, China -- Silkroad CG Animation
Raffles City Chongqing, also known as Raffles City Chongqing T4N and Chongqing Chaotianman T4N , is suite of eight buildings in Yuzhong District, Chongqing, China. It features a 300-metre-long horizontal skybridge called Crystal that connects the top of four of the skycrapers. The skybridge will be the second highest in the world after the Kingdom Centre. The entire project comprises eight towers with a total of 817,000 square metres of floor space. It was designed by Israeli architect Moshe Safdie. It is one of the most expensive buildings being built in China

I take an afternoon walk through Chongqing, China, one of the largest cities in China with an urban population of around 18.4 million. Chongqing is one of my personal favorite cities, with a skyline that beats out both Shanghai and Hong Kong, a grungy cyberpunk atmosphere, and a plethora of narrow, winding, and chaotic streets.

China's new horizontal skyscraper is almost complete | Business Today
The 8th and final skyscraper of Raffles City Chongqing in China is almost complete. The sky bridge measures 300m in length, 32.5m in width and 26.5 m in height. Watch the video to know more about the horizontal skyscraper.

Worlds Largest City (that no one has heard about) | China’s Biggest City
I found it. After years of searching, traveling around the world, asking people in over 100 countries where is the biggest city in the world. Its placed, as you probably understand, in China.
The city is called Chongqing and it has over 30 million people in it. Yes, you read it right. Its over 30 million people in this video and all the streets are packed with people.
In this video I visit the tourist attractions, year hotpot, scewers, go by taxi, see the coolest skyline in the world and much more. Enjoy!
