Exploring SHEFFIELD'S Best Abandoned Sites!
► SITE HISTORY:
Site 1: This is the former William Ridgway Tools factory site. William Ridgway and Sons company of Sheffield, manufacturers of augers, bits, wood-boring and motorising tools, was founded in 1878 and became a Private company in 1909, these works were founded in the 1930s. William Ridgway Tools merged first of all with Record Tools in 1974 to form Record Ridgway Tools Ltd. Record were another Sheffield company who were renowned for the quality of their vices and industrial clamps. Following the merger Record Ridgway Tools Ltd was made up of 14 UK Companies with 5 overseas companies. A later merger with a woodwork tools company called Marple (which was part-owned by Record and Ridgeway respectively before their original merger) led to the company becoming known as Record Marples Tools. Record Marples was taken over by the Swedish hardware manafacturer AB Bahco in 1982. Despite a management buyout leading to the company reverting to British ownership in 1985 the company struggled financially and following administration was acquired by U.S. based Irwin Tools in 1998 who have since moved production to China in recent years. - Source:
Site 2: The building was previously used as Sheffield Town Hall & the Crown Court, and according to our guide for the night (Karl) it was the place where the Yorkshire Ripper (Peter Sutcliffe) was sentenced. I have to say the place was amazing, and I'm super annoyed that most of my footage was lost due to camera issues, so please DO go and check out the link below for the other's channels as I know a lot of them have more complete accounts of the night.

Shocking pub brawl caught on CCTV
Shocking footage shows hooligans using bar stools and pool cues to attack each other - after watching a FRIENDLY football match. The louts were drinking at a pub following a pre-season friendly between Stoke City FC and Burton Albion FC. CCTV captured the moment Potters fans started attacking each other in the Locomotive pub in Burton-on-Trent, Staffs., on July 16 last year. At one stage a man is seen being dragged to the floor by three men before being hit repeatedly with a bar stool and kicked in the stomach.

Exploring an 18th Century Pub with EVERYTHING LEFT INSIDE - Abandoned Places UK
Dating back to the Early 18th Century. This Georgian Pub had little or no Graffiti inside.
I also found the place to be full of Abandoned Antique Furniture and a Baby Grand Piano. I also found Paintings still on the Walls.
But l think best of all was finding a Small Boat in the Bar Area. I've not got a clue why it was Abandoned there.
I was constantly on edge Exploring this Abandoned Pub, maybe it was Haunted or simply due to the fact there was a lot of mattresses in there that homeless people may have been sleeping on. Therefore you will hear me shouting on several occasions the Urban Explorers WAR cry HELLO!.
This would make a fantastic Paranormal Investigation due to how old the Pub actually is.

Abandoned Sheffield courthouse
Possibly the earyist place I have ever been to the building was built in 1808 and has extensions built onto it In the 1990s these courts moved to new premises, and since at least 1997 to present, the building remains disused.[2] In 2008 the Victorian Societynamed the building as one of its top ten buildings most at-risk.[4] A campaign group, The Friends of the Old Town Hall was formed in November 2014 with the aim of getting the building's owner G1 London Property to state its intention for its future use.[5] In September 2015 the building was put for sale with an asking price of £2,000,000. The sale brochure was withdrawn from the internet after about ten days.[6]

Hotel Review: Holiday Inn Royal Victoria, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England - August 2014
I stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria recently as I was in Sheffield for a wedding. I booked a room at this hotel in advance via booking.com and got a great price of £78.50 for two people for one night bed and breakfast. When we got to our room it had two double beds in it, so technically could have slept four.
The hotel is a magnificent old building, but the bedroom was in need of refurbishment, it looked and felt old, there was also no air conditioning.
The Victorian architecture of the building is plain to see and some of the features, such as the old staircase are magnificent, but in many areas paint was chipped and redecoration was badly needed. The hotel reminded me of 'The Shining' in some respects!
The staff were excellent and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was superb, although the restaurant was a little too busy, and we had to wait 10 minutes for a table.
All in all, this hotel was good value, but the bedrooms let it down. I probably won't stay here again until it has been refurbished. The rooms at the Holiday Inn Express next door are much nicer - see my review of it here: .

Abandoned Fat Goose Pub Essex, Now Demolished. Urban Exploration.
A look back at a visit we did to a derelict pub we found in Essex last year, unfortunately this building has since been demolished for redevelopment and so lost forever.. This was one of the first explores we ever did and so not of the best quality (I'm very glad we got better! lol) but if nothing else it shows you how far we have come over the last 8 months.
Derelict Manor in one of the RICHEST Areas in the UK
► THE EXPLORE: So this manor house is situated in one of the richest communities in the UK with a hugely well known Golf Course a stones throw away. We actually had walk across the Golf club to reach the location to avoid raising suspicion to the local security. The whole estate has million pound mansions and famous residents, so I'm not really sure what an abandoned house is doing in amongst all of that. However the house was very outdated, so maybe the plan on pulling it down and replacing it with a newer more modern mansion. But you could still see remnants of the previous grandeur the place had including a swimming pool, sauna and bar inside the house.
► SITE HISTORY: Abandoned in 2008 (ish) over a planning permission issue. But apart from that I have no idea of the history of the place. We had no idea what to expect when we got there. HUGE thanks to Seany Explores for the location for this place, before he had even been here himself.
