EL SALVADOR'S INDEPENDENCE DAY 2019 CELEBRATION CHEERLEADERS AND MARCHING BANDS 1 OF 2
???? SUBSCRIBE TO MY EXPERIMENT ABROAD????
Welcome to My Experiment Abroad!
In today's video, I went to the Independence day celebration here in El Salvador and to be more precise, in San Miguel. It is a happy and cheerful day for the majority of schools on El Salvador because a large amount of the students throughout the whole country tend to participate on this day. Whether it be marching with the band, playing some type of instrument in the band or becoming a cheerleader. The little kids under ten year's old are the ones that come out in the parade first. At the last ones to come out are the high school kids and it gets very crowded when the last schools perform. I hope you enjoy this video, please give it a thumbs up, comment and subscribe

Morning in the Pasaje Rubio
Pasaje Rubio is in Zone 1, the old quarter, of Guatemala City. It's home to the historic El Portalito bar. Every morning, the ladies sweep and mop the tile floors just before opening the gates. Walking from the Pan American Hotel before breakfast, it's nice to stop and watch in the excellent light.
Universidad Nacional, San Antonio Abad, El Salvador
On my short visit to San Salvador, El Salvador, I had to go by my old college, the CCC (Christopher Columbus College) and at the same time, I drove by the Universidad Nacional. Still, I am very fond of this area, as I used to hang out around here a lot when I was 14, more than 17 years ago! Unbelievable!

Lo mejor de La Union, El Salvador
La Unión is a municipality in the La Unión department of El Salvador.
It is the capital city of the Department of its same name. It is the largest city in the department also with a population of almost 26,739 inhabitants. On January 16, 2005 the government of El Salvador started building a new port, in order to replace the old one. It will be able to hold more than double the cargo held by the current principal port of El Salvador at Acajutla.
The new port will be finished by November 2008. It will help to increase the growth in this side of the country. One half of the growth is located at the country's capital San Salvador, but a lot of commerce is also transferred to the nearer San Miguel, being also the largest city.

[Honduras] La Entrada; Street View (Bicycle Tour, Summer, 2013)
I did a bicycle touring in Honduras & El Salvador between Jul. 26 and Aug. 12, 2013.
The present tour was somewhat tough, because I had to cross many mountain ranges throughout the tour. In one case I crossed the mountain, whose elevation was 2020m, pushing my bicycle on foot. I suffered from diarrhea, and threw up once at night.
I started my tour from San Pedro Sula in Honduras, and came to Nueva Ocotepeque, where I crossed the border into El Salvador. After leaving Sensuntepeque (El Salvador), I arrived in San Miguel (El Salvador), and stayed two days there. Then I crossed the border into Honduras again, and came to Tegucigalpa (the capital of Honduras), where my tour was finalized. Total distance of the tour is about 670km. This is not really long distance I think, but considering that I crossed many mountains, it was not bad result for the bicycle tour, which I conducted 8 years after the last tour in Turkey.
This video shows the street view of the city called La Entrada.
EL SALVADOR: EARTHQUAKE AFTERMATH LATEST (2)
Spanish/Nat
Rescue workers in the San Tecla district of El Salvador's capital San Salvador continued their efforts to dig out the victims of Saturday's earthquake.
With 400 reported dead and a further 12-hundred missing, rescue teams are racing to assist with rescue and recovery.
Officials say whole families have been wiped out.
They say some bodies are so badly mangled that it's impossible to identify them.
Authorities have begun burying many of the victims in mass graves in order to contain the spread of disease.
It's feared the death toll will rise dramatically.
About one-thousand people are still missing and El Salvador's president has asked Colombia to supply three-thousand coffins.
Despite a series of aftershocks, workers rescued a 22-year-old man trapped for 30 hours under slabs of concrete, reviving hopes that more survivors might be found under the landslide in the Las Colinas neighbourhood of Santa Tecla.
Meanwhile planes carrying technical and humanitarian aid to El Salvador have been arriving at San Salvador's international airport.
The U-S and several Latin American neighbours have been sending medical workers and equipment as well as safe drinking water and material to build refuge centres.
SOUNDBITE: (Spanish)
It's a family of 6 people- we also found that young woman who worked as their maid. We have been here since 7 o clock yesterday morning trying to rescue them but we only managed to rescue my brother.
SUPER CAPTION: Herbert Gerber, civilian searching for family
SOUNDBITE: (Spanish
We have now found and identified more than 300 bodies and yesterday began burying them first in our municipal cemetery but we are going to have to step up our recovery operation and try and get as many trapped bodies out as possible for sanitation reasons. There are now over seven thousand people seeking refuge.
SUPER CAPTION: Oscar Ortiz, Mayor of Santa Tecla
SOUNDBITE: (Spanish
We are still here because so many people have turned up looking for their families to see what happened to them. Its been tough, very tough and the thing is it's still dangerous. There are still aftershocks and the airport's infrastructure has been damaged which is dangerous.
