THE PARTY GOES ON!
And of course many thanks for the help with the licensing of music rights to:

---------------------------
A party with electronic music under the open sky, with the sun in your face and the warmth on your skin. This was the initial idea that marks the starting point of a new spirit. At first Patrick Peiki was partying with just a few friends, but the word soon spreads out fast within the small scene back then. The illegal rave starts to grow.
After becoming legal for the first time after ten years in 2003, the city council steps in. The two responsible people Patrick Peiki and Oliver Hoffmann are cited to Cologne's public order office. After long negotiations and talks it's clear:
THE PARTY GOES ON!
But it remains important to the organizers of PollerWiesen that the spirit stays the same!
Another ten years later, the PollerWiesen has established itself as as an institution in Germany and beyond. Many fans of electronic music come to the numerous places where a PollerWiesen takes place. The party is still growing and has up to 10.000 visitors nowadays.
This story fascinates me, Achim Rütt, since years. I was going to PollerWiesen events since 1995 and experienced the development form very close by.
Now it's time to chronicle the events to posterity. Thanks to everyone supporting this project, for giving me their video-tapes and the production of interviews and recent images.
History remains History, but should be conserved!
WE CALL IT TECHNO! A documentary about Germany’s early Techno scene and culture
Inspired by new sounds, new technologies and the political events of the time, the early 90s sees the emergence of a scene that euphorically celebrates the dawning of a new era.
In Berlin, Frankfurt and many other German cities, activists tinker on a new music and club culture oriented around the coordinates Techno and House.
At Berlin's Love Parade in 1991, different local scenes congregate for the first time. The trend turns into a movement. A German Summer of Love, which changes whole lives overnight and kick-starts careers.
The basic principle of Techno stands for experimenting, crossing borders and DIY. Fans become DJs or party promoters. Labels are founded and record stores open up. The scene grows. An independent microcosm is created. Networks are formed away from established structures. For a moment everything seems possible…
WE CALL IT TECHNO! tells the story of a tempestuous phase in music history, the first time that pop culture was created significantly in Germany.
With exclusive interviews and comprehensive, mostly unreleased film and photo archive material from the years 1988-1994!
Incl. Statements from Ata, Cosmic Baby, Mijk van Dijk, Elsa for Toys, Hell, Mike Ink., Jürgen Laarmann, Mark Reeder, Tanith, Triple R, Upstart, Sven Väth, Wolle XDP and many more
“This music had such power that we left everything behind... We felt like a new age was starting and we were the first to notice.” (Upstart, Munich)
“It was like a dance on a vulcano. Like: technology brings us progress, but it’ll also destroy us. On the other hand: who gives a sh!t, first I’ll just dance.” (Wolle XDP, Berlin)
“We did a lot of space studies at the time. It all tended towards psycho-active stimulation with the aim of going up and it all never coming to an end. Actually, we tried the weirdest stuff. (Elsa For Toys, Berlin)
“1989, after the fall of the Wall, when the Techno movement in Berlin grew from one day to the next, we all felt like we could change the world.” (Cosmic Baby, Berlin)
“The Moment of unity was short, it lasted maybe one summer.” (Ralf Niemczyk, Cologne)
“It’s nice to see that many people in this context made it, that Techno and House isn’t just stupifying music connected to drugs.” (Frank Blümel, Berlin)

EXTIZE - Redneck Industrial (new album with 19 tracks)
Country meets Electro-Industrial
Since 2007 the musical outlaws EXTIZE are riding through the prairie of electronic music. The scoundrels keep moving year by year, from Club to club, from stage to stage to execute their dirty jobs on their synths, effect units, e-drums and e-guitars.
Led by their german-french ringleader and mastermind Cyb3rella they fire sound storms of dark electro, industrial, EBM and hard trance into the party crazy rabble with baseline after baseline. The energy loaded EXTIZE sound destroys the boarders of the music genres like a bar of dynamite underneath a stage coach and demonstrates what dark electronic music of the new century has to offer. No eyes will remain dry and feet’s not dancing on the same spot.
The freaks of EXTIZE have already torn a blood filled swath of destruction through the electronic music territory with their recent four records and four EP’s. Now their fifth album “Redneck Industrial” is the new bullet in the barrel, a new facet of the band on the horizon.
EXTIZE recollected to their beginning stage of industrial influences and spicing it up with Country and Western sound structures, fine-tune this with the club sound from today and the outcome is the brand new album “Redneck Industrial. A brand new concept album the goth industrial scene has not experienced until now.
The album not only features club hits such as „Lawless Gringo“, „Guns Gasoline & Cowbell“ and “Hillbilly Rage“ but also a synth pop song called “Rodeo Stars” and even a ballad called “Back To Home” have found their slot amongst the 10 tracks featured on the album. So the four daredevils of EXTIZE proof yet again how versatile their music can be. The album is rounded up with remixes from likewise versatile renowned bands SHIV-R, OMNIMAR, SYNTHATTACK, BINARY DIVISION and NITRO/NOISE. Also the newest EXTIZE member Bill is revealed and contributes in his own special manner exclusive material for the first time on the new album “Redneck Industrial” so the album heavily loaded with 19 tracks is ready to storm the saloons.
The EXTIZE electro rowdies are riding the bass of the musical show down into a club near you! Loud rumbles the war chant: We want you to dance — Dead or Alive!

Sleater-Kinney official bio:
Sleater-Kinney’s The Center Won’t Hold is the first new album from the celebrated band since their 2015 album, No Cities To Love, available August 16 on Mom + Pop. After years of legendary collaboration, rock’n’roll giants Carrie Brownstein (guitar/vocals) and Corin Tucker (guitar/vocals) sound bigger and bolder than ever. The new album was produced by Annie Clark (St. Vincent), and hailed by The Fader as “one of the most furious, dynamic records of their career.” The New York Times called them “one of rock’s most enduring and respected acts” and Rolling Stone gave the record 4 stars and raved, “one of America’s greatest bands does battle with modern apathy on thrilling LP.
Sleater-Kinney set a new bar for punk’s political insight and emotional impact. Now, at the height of their formidable powers, the feminist icons continue to challenge themselves, break all the rules and push boundaries. This new creative chapter in the acclaimed band’s musical journey is poised to win over both longtime admirers and new fans alike.

Modern Girl lyrics:
My baby loves me, I'm so happy
Happy makes me a modern girl
Took my money and bought a TV
TV brings me closer to the world
My whole life
Was like a picture of a sunny day
My whole life
Was like a picture of a sunny day
My baby loves me, I'm so hungry
Hunger makes me a modern girl
Took my money and bought a donut
The hole's the size of this entire world
My whole life
Looks like a picture of a sunny day
My whole life
Looked like a picture of a sunny day
My baby loves me, I'm so angry
Anger makes me a modern girl
Took my money, I couldn't buy nothin'
I'm sick of this brave new world
My whole life
Is like a picture of a sunny day
My whole life
Is like a picture of a sunny day
My whole life
Is like a picture of a sunny day
My whole life
Is like a picture of a sunny day

Bury Our Friends lyrics:
Today I am stitched, I am sewn
Patch me up, I've got want in my bones
Like some doll you thought you could throw away
I found my legs
Ready to climb out from under concrete
Only I get to be sickened by me
My body a smudge
Can't make out the details
Want to start over and come into being
Exhume our idols and bury our friends
We're wild and weary but we won't give in
We're sick with worry
These nerve less days
We live on dread in our own gilded age
This dark world is precious to me
My scars make me breathe in so deep
My body has no need for sleep
This time around
Ready to find fragments of stillness
Only I get to be punished by me
Your voice is a crumb, it leads me from the wildness
Wanna start over, forget everything
Exhume our idols and bury our friends
We're wild and weary but we won't give in
We're sick with worry
These nerve less days
We live on dread in our own gilded age
Make me a headline
I wanna be that bold
Make me a spotlight
So I can see the gold
Make me a headline
I wanna feel that bold
Make me a spotlight
So I can see the gold
Exhume our idols, bury our friends
We're wild and weary but we won't give in
We're sick with worry
These nerve less days
We live on dread in our own gilded age
We speak in circles
We dance in code
Untame and hungry
On fire in the cold
Exhume our idols and bury our friends
We're wild and weary but we won't give in
