God is Love - Part 1
God is love. Sounds simple and straightforward. Our guest, Dr. John Peckham, grew up seeing the evils of the world but also knew that God was love. So, what does it mean that God is love? This episode takes a look at some of the misunderstandings of God’s character that have led to a misunderstanding of His love.
O Come, All Ye Faithful (Adeste Fideles) at Westminster Abbey
I could not but upload this great version of this popular carol. I especially enjoyed the organ interlude.
This is part of the Christmas Eve Service of Eucharist at Westminster Abbey, broadcast live on BBC One on Tuesday, 24th of December 2013.

The Huron Carol
This version performed by Heather Dale, and sung in Wendat (Huron), French and English. Please consider purchasing this music from her if you loved it, as she is an independent artist! Peace :)
The Huron Carol (or 'Twas in the Moon of Wintertime) is a Christmas hymn, written in 1643 by Jean de Brébeuf, a Christian missionary at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons in Canada. Brébeuf wrote the lyrics in the native language of the Huron/Wendat people; the song's original Huron title is Jesous Ahatonhia (Jesus, he is born). The song's melody is a traditional French folk song, Une Jeune Pucelle (A Young Maid). The well known English lyrics were written in 1926 by Jesse Edgar Middleton.
See Amid the Winter's Snow (Cambridge Choir of King's College)
Disclaimer: I do not own this!
See, Amid The Winter's Snow, also known as Hymn For Christmas Day, is a Christmas carol.
It was written by Edward Caswall (18141878), with music composed by Sir John Goss (18001880).
As Hymn For Christmas Day, it featured in Christmas Carols New And Old, which was published in 1871 by Henry Ramsden Bramley (18331917) and John Stainer (18401901).[1]
[edit]Lyrics
The lyrics to this carol are as follows:
See, amid the winter's snow,
Born for us on Earth below,
See, the tender Lamb appears,
Promised from eternal years.
Chorus:Hail, thou ever blessed morn,
Hail redemption's happy dawn,
Sing through all Jerusalem,
Christ is born in Bethlehem.
Lo, within a manger lies
He who built the starry skies;
He who, throned in height sublime,
Sits among the cherubim.
Chorus
Say, ye holy shepherds,say,
What your joyful news today;
Wherefore have ye left your sheep
On the lonely mountain steep?
Chorus
As we watched at dead of night,
Lo, we saw a wondrous light:
Angels singing 'Peace On Earth'
Told us of the Saviour's birth.
Chorus
Sacred Infant, all divine,
What a tender love was Thine,
Thus to come from highest bliss
Down to such a world as this.
Chorus
Teach, O teach us, Holy Child,
By Thy face so meek and mild,
Teach us to resemble Thee,
In Thy sweet humility.
Chorus
Princess Charlotte first day at nursery Duchess of Cambridge's adorable pics of royal tot
Princess Charlotte first day at nursery: Duchess of Cambridge's adorable pics of royal tot.
THE DUCHESS of Cambridge has marked Princess Charlotte’s first day of nursery by posting two adorable pictures of the young royal on the steps of Kensington Palace, ready to start school.
The two-year-old, who is fourth in line to the throne and ready to welcome a younger brother or sister later this year, was pictured before she left for her first day at Willcocks Nursery School.
Charlotte is beaming as she grips the handrail outside the famous palace, wearing a white scarf and a £120 red coat by Amaia Kids.
She is also wearing a Cath Kidston ballerina rucksack for her big day.
The princess will be a full-time pupil at the nursery, which charges fees of just over £3,000 a term for pupils attending its Monday to Friday morning school, and employs lots of play as children learn.
Charlotte can look forward to pottery and poetry classes at the sought-after nursery, which is located next to the Royal Albert Hall.
The 53-year-old school was founded in 1964 by Mrs Diana Willcocks in the hall of Holy Trinity Church in South Kensington, right next door to the Royal Albert Hall.
Today it is run by Headmistress Lavinia Taylor for an annual fee of £14,550 – without the weekly lunch club.
Eternal Father strong to save
Eternal Father, strong to save
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave
Who biddest the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee
For those in peril on the sea
O Christ! Whose voice the waters heard
And hushed their raging at Thy Word
Who walked on the foaming deep
And calm amidst its rage didst sleep
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee
For those in peril on the sea
Most Holy Spirit! Who didst brood
Upon the chaos dark and rude
And bid its angry tumult cease
And give, for wild confusion, peace
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee
For those in peril on the sea
O Trinity of love and power
Our family shield in dangers hour
From rock and tempest, fire and foe
Protect us wheresoever we go
Thus evermore shall rise to Thee
Glad hymns of praise from land and sea

Charles Smithson Grave - Malton
Malton has strong links with Charles Dickens - all stemming from his close friendship with Charles Smithson, a solicitor based at offices in the town's Chancery Lane. Smithson first met Dickens while he was in London as part of his legal training. A life-long friendship ensued and there are echoes of the Malton connection in several Dickens novels.
It is widely believed that the Chancery Lane offices were the model for Scrooge's counting house in A Christmas Carol, and that the church bells which feature so prominently in the novel were modelled on those of St Leonard's on Church Hill.
Charles Smithson is buried in St. Mary's Priory Church, Old Malton, North Yorkshire.
