The Ledbury Hunt
Nicky Sadler follows the Ledbury Hunt, hunting within the law, in its Friday country, near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire. Hounds are known to have hunted the area around Ledbury on the Hereford and Gloucestershire border for at least 300 years. The Ledbury Hunt as presently constituted can trace it's origin to 1846 when according to the original minute book it was decided to set up the hunt 'on a respectable footing' and a committee was formed. A huntsman was engaged to hunt 14 couples of hounds, five days a fortnight. In 1868 Kennels were built adjacent to the Ledbury Railway Station where they remained until 1938 when the present site at Bromesberrow was established. Nicky talks to masters, staff and followers including David Redvers, one of the foxhunting supporters who stormed the House of Commons in the run up to the hunting ban. Blackmore & Sparkford Vale Huntsman Mark Doggrell runs over a Hunt Saboteur
During Autumn cub hunting in August 2014, Blackmoor and Sparkford Vale Huntsman, Mark Doggrell ran a female Hunt Saboteur over, on purpose, and failed to stop, causing serious injuries including 7 broken ribs, a collapsed lung and shoulder damage.
After emergency help was called for, hunt supporters blocked the ambulance, therefore preventing it from attending to the unconscious sab.
The CPS have decided not to prosecute although they were furnished with all of the information, videos and reports.
We are asking that the CPS review the decision and reverse this miscarriage of justice.
As well as signing this petition, please consider emailing the CPS:

Middleton Hunt Incident February 2014
League response to Middleton Huntmaster and Huntsman court verdict:
Commenting on the case against the Joint Master and Huntsman of the Middleton Hunt, Tom Holt for an offence in relation to illegal hunting, the League Against Cruel Sports described today’s verdict as disappointing.
Tom Holt appeared before Scarborough Magistrates' Court today charged with hunting a Wild Mammal with Dogs at West Knapton, Malton, North Yorkshire, on 19th February 2014, contrary to the Hunting Act 2004.
The case was brought by the independent Crown Prosecution Service following an investigation by North Yorkshire Police, based on evidence supplied to the police by the League Against Cruel Sports.
Evidence submitted by the League showed two alleged chases, however the CPS dropped evidence of one of these at an earlier preliminary hearing resulting in much of the video evidence not being permissible.
Having heard the evidence, the District Judge decided he could not be satisfied that the defendant knew the hounds were chasing a fox or that he showed signs of participation.

South Pembrokeshire Hunt chase a fox
West Wales Anti Bloodsports were monitoring the South Pembrokeshire Hunt in December last year. The terriermen are caught in a pincer operation between two groups of monitors with cameras - one group high on the road, another on a footpath- and are unable to secretly access the woodlands for any digging. The landowner of Moor Farm claims he has given the terriermen written permission to be on his land, but doesn't know their names. The hunt spend all day drawing various coverts (putting the hounds in to look for a scent) with absolutely no evidence of a trail being laid. At the end of the day, monitors film an exhausted looking fox running out of woodland at Carne Farm, Yerbeston - another hunt meet venue. The huntsman can be heard intially encouraging the hounds with voice calls. The hounds are clearly onto the fox, as they run yelping over the same hedge through which the fox has passed. The huntsman Simon Jones is warned his hounds are onto live quarry but makes no effort to call them off.
