Lakes, water sports, canoes, water chutes, girl canoeing race, pony trekking, wild deer. Winter sports, skiing, husky sledge. Women, game fishing. Cape Cod's farm over Plymouth Rock, Old North Church, Lexington battlefield, Old Bridge at Concord, Boston, Boston Cannon, multi people swan pedaloes. Sailing. Gloucester, fishing port, artists at work. Trawlers at work. Lobster pots off Maine. The beaches, windjammer sailing ships. Rural life in U.S.A.
'Today, holiday makers enjoy themselves were Pilgrims ventured 300 years ago.' A children's summer camp in the woods of the east coast United States, there are canoes drawn up on the shore and a wharf going out into the lake for swimmers. There is a small sailboat out in the lake, children are walking on the wharf or going to get a canoe. Girls with bathing caps dive off the wharf, there is a floating platform with two levels of diving platforms a little distance into the lake, it is crowded with children, some of them diving off it. Funny shot of the swimming platform with the kids swimming from it as a girl balances on the back of a canoe rocking it forward and back, moving it forward across the screen. Two canoes face each other, each with two boys in it, one boy stands on the front of the boat and they have a chicken fight, one of the canoes tips over.
'Water sports galore'. A really cool water slide that pairs of children go down on sleds that skip across the water. A crowd lines the shore as eight women canoe teams race up the lake, with a cox in the back steering. Good views from the side and looking straight down the canoe from an angle above front. 'And horseback trails of beauty.' A group of children ride horses on path through the forest. The horses trot and the riders post. 'Wildlife is abundant'. Deer walk across a narrow bridge over water. A moose, flapping it ears and walking on its tall legs through the water, it eats eater plants as it goes.
' When winter comes thousands gather for snow thrills!' A bizarre chair lift that is like a miniature train but with individual cars and people get in with their skis and sit sideways. Shots of people skiing, men, women, one shot of people stopping sharply as they get to the cabin at the bottom of the hill. Dog sledding with huskies.
'But the call of spring is irresistible to the true fisherman.' Girls with their fishing baskets around their waists, wearing hipwaders and fly fishing. One pool with all their lines in it. One girl puts a fish in her basket. A hooked fish wriggles in the river as the fisherman reels him in. The man holds up the fish in the net.
'The historic Cape Cod, town of Provincetown, still boasts a town crier!' View from the sea, of Cape Cod. The town crier walks along the pier, ringing his huge bell, people walk around him.
'Plymouth Rock, where America Began.' the pilgrim's memorial at Plymouth Rock. 1620, marked on a rock. 'Old North Church, immortalized by Paul Revere'. The steeple of the Old North Church with the statue of Paul Revere in front of it.
'At Lexington Battlefield, the redcoats faced an insolent rebellion.' the battlefield outside the Lexington town hall. The stone where Captain Parker's words are engraved. ' Old Bridge at Concord, turning point of the rebellion.' A very new looking wooden bridge over a small river. The statue of the Minute man.
'Boston, here 300 years ago and area was set aside as a common pasture, the Boston Common.' Aerial view of the Boston Common, covered with trees. A busy street beside the common, large 1920's or 30s cars drive along the road.
'Adjacent are the Public Gardens, nestling the shadow of New England's tallest building, the Custom's House'. Tourists are moved around in peddle boats, they sit on benches while the man sits on a chair disguised as a swan on the back and peddles.
'Marblehead, the down -east yachtsmen's paradise.' Sailboats out on the sea, almost all identical with their two white sails. The boats are not big. 'Gloucester, world-renowned heart of the deep sea fishing industry.' Seagulls fly around the masts of three fishing boats, with crows nest high up. Three boats coming into harbour.
Throughout New England, summer artists' colonies abound.' Amateur painters paint at their easels on the docks of the fishing village.

Fort Cumberland is a pentagonal artillery fortification erected to guard the entrance to Langstone Harbour, east of the Dockyard of Portsmouth on the south coast of England. It was sited to protect the Royal Navy Dockyard, by preventing enemy forces from landing in Langstone Harbour and attacking from the landward side. Fort Cumberland is widely recognised as the finest example of a bastion trace fort in England.
The first fort on the site was built by the Duke of Cumberland. Although there did previously exist an earthwork battery on the site, built in 1714.[1] Work on Cumberland's fort commenced on January 1, 1747, and was substantially complete by the end of 1748.
The fort had an irregular star shaped form, and was of earthwork construction. In section, the defences comprised a glacis, banquette and covered way, a dry ditch, berm, rampart, parapet and terre-plein. Within the body of the fort, a number of brick buildings were constructed, comprising a guardhouse, storeroom and powder magazine; of the two proposed barrack blocks, only one is believed to have been completed.
Fort Cumberland was completely rebuilt in masonry, and on a considerably larger scale, as part of a programme to improve the fortifications of Portsmouth. Major building work started in 1785, although preliminary stockpiling of materials began in 1782, and was essentially completed by 1812. In the course of construction all traces of the original fort were destroyed, with the exception of the guard house and store room, both of which were incorporated into the new design. The second fort occupies a similar position to the first, but is substantially larger in scale, enclosing an area of 24 acres (97,000 m2), and on a different alignment. It is a polygonal fort, with five bastions and a ravelin on the western side. It was the last fort with angle bastions to be built in the United Kingdom, and the first to provide casemated ordnance.

After Trump’s lawyers conclude their presentation, senators will have an opportunity to submit questions to both sides in writing. Following that, debate will turn to whether to call witnesses and subpoena documents.
Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Impeachment does not mean that the president has been removed from office. In the next phase, the Senate must hold a trial to make that determination. A Senate impeachment trial has happened only two other times in American history and once in the modern era. At the center of the Democrats’ case is that Trump sought to withhold military assistance and an Oval Office meeting until Ukraine announced investigations into former vice president Joe Biden and his son.

Driving At Dusk - Central Scotland - Winter Rush Hour - Wide Angle Dash Cam
This is just some old test footage I shot while trying out a homemade dash cam rig. Very roughly cut and edited together with some music in Windows Movie Maker. I never originally planned to use/upload it, but, it turned out looking kinda cool, so I decided to throw it up on my channel. Sadly it seems YouTube's compression techniques have noticeably lowered the video's smoothness + clarity compared to the original :(.
Details
This was shot using an old £40 HD flip cam modded with a budget fisheye lens (see link below for my video tut) and a £5 dash mount from ebay. The location - in and around Hamilton - South Lanarkshire - Central Scotland some time in late January 2013. It's below zero outside (some patches of old snow still on the ground), the sun has just gone down and the rush hour traffic is beginning to kick off.
The Music
The track used in this video is called 'Streets Of 2043' and is by some Australian composers who go by the name Power Glove (not to be confused with the American power metal cover band of the same name).
I really like their music! A lot of their stuff seems to be 80's/90's inspired retro electronic tunes with samples from games such as Streets Of Rage etc. I actually found them by accident on MySpace a few years back while searching for the power metal group of the same name. You can listen/download most of their stuff either on SoundCloud or MySpace (links below). I especially like the tracks TELECOM, Streets of 2043 and Vengeance (found on the YT channel NewRetroWave).
