Golf : Signature Golf Hole. Hill Barn, Worthing, West Sussex
Golf Professional David Fluke, plays the signature golf hole at Hill Barn Golf Course, Worthing. This fantastic golf hole is a par 3 and plays 174 yards from the white tees. It's dramatically poised on the slope of a hill allowing the golfer to see all 10 bunkers from the tee box.
The hole needs to be played with caution to avoid one of the very deep bunkers in front of the golf hole. Golf Professional David Fluke explains amateur golfers should 'go long' and play to the bank behind the green so the ball rolls down and into the it.
Conveniently located just off the A-24 near Worthing, Hill Barn Golf Club is a spectacular 75-year old course designed by the legendary Fred Hawtree. The club has a long and enviable history having hosted many professional tournaments and been graced by names such as Peter Alliss and Tony Jacklin.
The 18-hole course nestles in the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park and provides sweeping panoramic views out over Worthing and the English Channel. As the course is built on the South Downs it is free draining, so you can play year round without the mud which plagues many other courses. This makes our club a much better value for your golf membership and an ideal choice for golf societies.
At signaturegolfholes.tv we deliver high quality videos, showcasing signature golf holes from around the country, filmed by our experienced professionals. Watch this and other signature golf hole videos at signaturegolfholes.tv

Sincere Thanks to Aynsley Lister Band for allowing me to film and post the concert footage.
Aynsley Lister - Guitars, vocals
Midus Guarneri -Bass
Simon Small-Drums
Dan Healey- piano/organ
Aynsley picked up the guitar at eight and played his first gig aged thirteen. A year later on a family trip to San Francisco, he was jamming at 'Lou's Bar' on Pier 49. Brought up on his father's record collection, he had learned to play by ear and would sit for hours in his bedroom playing along to old 45s of Freddie King, John Mayall and Eric Clapton. He spent the next few years honing his craft. He has taken these key elements and mixed them with a more current and melodic lyrical approach.and plays the rocking blues, with passion and vitality, and his fine song writing is soul searching and heartfelt.
By the time he was 18, he had worked his way through various bands and decided to form his own. The band recorded two albums, but it was the second of these two that started things happening. Aynsley had begun writing and it was the three original numbers of this album that attracted the attention of Ruf Records' head Thomas Ruf. In the summer of 1998, they signed a deal.
Aynsley has played alongside blues legends such as Buddy Guy, John Mayall, and Robert Cray aswell as big name pop artists such as Bryan Adams and Fun Lovin Criminals. His recorded work has seen him working with Producers Jim Gaines (Santana, SRV) and Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers, Catatonia)
2006 saw Lister recording in Clarksdale, Mississippi and Memphis Tennessee where he worked again with Jim Gaines on the Ruf Records collaboration Pilgrimage. With Gaines producing Lister debut for the label in 1999, it was almost 7 years to the month that they had previously worked together. In September of that year his album Everything I Need was released stateside in preparation for his debut tour. Listers fourth studio album UPSIDE DOWN is the first to contain all originals.
Album Equilibrium released March 2009.
Midus Guerreiro
Born in Lisbon, Portugal, based in the UK and living in London, Midus gives herself to any musical style while maintaining her own identity & character as a bass player. Midus began playing bass and formed her first band at the age of twelve.
Simon Small - Drums
Simon first started playing the drums when he was twelve years old. He began gigging three years later in a blues trio and continued to be heavily influenced by blues and soul music. After graduating from the Academy of Contemporary Music in 2004, Simon was a founding member of Devizes based indie band, Hitchmo.Hitchmo performed around the U.K. and Europe, recorded the World Were Living In video in Los Angeles, appeared at Glastonbury festival and alongside Feeder at the Redbourn festival in 2007.
His next project saw him working with fellow Devizes based artist Jon Amor. Simon toured Europe with Jon and played on the Unknown Soldier album, which also featured Robert Plant and Clive Deamer. In late 2007 Simon played the Shepherds Bush Empire and the Oxford Carling Academy with U.S. pop act The Bastard Fairies as part of Shed 7s support tour. He has also worked with several award winning producers and directors including; Chris Hughes (Adam and the Ants, Tears for Fears), Steve Evans (Robert Plant) and The Davey Brothers (Dave Stewart).
