OLD SLED WORKS: Amazing Museum/Penny Arcade/Antiques Mall in an Old Sled Factory - Duncannon, PA
I read somewhere online that there was an antiques mall with a penny arcade full of vintage coin-op machines in Duncannon, PA. So I headed up there and when I arrived I realized I came upon something far more awesome than I originally imagined. This whole place was inside an old sled factory! Lightning Guider sleds were in production at this factory from 1904 to 1988. It is now not only an antiques mall but also houses a museum full of items from the factory, another quirky museum of 1900s to 1960s Americana and antique automobiles and also a large penny arcade. This is by far one of the most impressive, pleasantly surprising and just sheer awesome places I've ever visited thus far! What a hidden gem!!

GIANT DRAGON / SEA SERPENT: Guarding Lumberjack's Kitchen - Duncannon, PA
For some reason there's a family restaurant named Lumberjack's Kitchen in central PA on Route 15/11. Even more inexplicable is the fact that there's a large blue and purple fiberglass sea serpent in front of the place.

New diner owners hope to recreate, preserve Johnstown's heyday
By: Maria Miller
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. -- Just across the street from CamTran on Main Street, you'll find Johnstown's newest restaurant. When you walk inside, it looks like a mini-museum and the owner says, that's the point -- to preserve and recreate Johnstown during it's most flourishing time: it's heyday.
For the past 18 years, Paul Reighard has run his own construction company until this year when he said he needed a change.
I got tired of that so me and my wife decided to open a restaurant and I just came up with the concept, Reighard said Monday.
From start to finish Reighard said it only took about five months for the former KFC building to be remodeled and transformed into the Hey-Day Diner, a restaurant that's truly a family affair.
My wife has 17 years (in the food industry), our cook has about 20 years' experience and my daughter has about 10, so we have a lot of family members working here, Reighard said.
I came in and had the hot turkey sandwich with the french fries, said Terry Shaffer. The gravy is out of this world. The food is absolutely delicious.
The restaurant has only been open a week but Shaffer told 6 News he's already visited twice and it's not only the food that keeps him coming back.
I'm impressed with the artifacts that they have here. It's stuff that I haven't thought about ... I've been in Johnstown all my life, I'm 75, and they're things that I haven't thought of for years.
I thought a lot of our history was being neglected. Everybody always talks about the floods, so I wanted to do something positive, Reighard said. (There's) nothing flood-related at all. We kept everything positive.
The diner features many details of Johnstown's past, from eating inside a replica of the old streetcars, to sitting next to former store fronts. Even the counter recreates Johnstown's Stone Bridge.
It's really nostalgic. The streetcar is just fabulous, Shaffer said. Some of the stores that used to be downtown here, I can look at them and say, Oh my God, I can remember when.
We're hoping to bring more people back to the area and get them down here and realize there is a lot of people still down here that can sustain business down here, Reighard said.
In addition to the typical comfort foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the diner also has a walk-up ice cream window and makes its own milkshakes and floats.
So far Reighard told 6 News business has been great and said that opening the week of Thunder in the Valley was one of the best decisions he could have made.

OLIVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- State Police in Perry County are investigating a suspicious death.
State Police say the woman who was found dead was 51-years-old. They are calling this a suspicious death, but say that the public is not in danger.
Around 2:30 Thursday afternoon, a man who knew the woman, stopped by her home, found her dead and called 911, police say.
It happened at the 500 block of North 4th Street in Oliver Township, Perry County. As police searched the home for clues, a man who says he was friends with the victim said he's surprised by the tragedy.
I'm shocked! I mean she was a sweetheart. I mean I never would have thought anybody would hurt her, she was always friendly with everybody, said Daniel Solliard.
Police are not releasing the woman's name. They say more information will be released Friday. An autopsy will also be scheduled.
