Ancient Xingping - China
What a fantastic adventure as we spent our day in Xingping, with each turn in the road of this ancient fishing village bringing with it new treasures and beautiful people.
When we first arrived, we were quite taken back by the level of road works and destroyed buildings in the town, however we were unaware of the flood that had passed through in 2017. This gorgeous town has come out on top and we were so pleased to be there, eating and buying gifts.

A Warm Welcome from Beihai Guangxi China
Beihai is a Chinese beach destination located close to Vietnam and gives an idea of Southeast Asian style beach culture in the country. There are beautiful resort hotels on the banks of the vast sea, beach islands, lakes, besides forests and hills. Along with natural spots, there are historical monuments and pagodas in the town located near the Gulf of Beibu and attract Southeast Asian beach inspired tourists.
Guilin Daxu Ancient Town(桂林大圩古镇), Guangxi, China
One of the four greatest ancient market towns in Guangxi -- Daxu (大圩; literally, 'Big Market') was founded in AD 200. The town's stone streets run alongside the Lí River for 2km, flanked by one- and two-storey old houses.

huangyao ancient town
Huangyao ancient town is situated in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on the lower reaches of Li River and 200km (around 3.5 hours drive) from Guilin.
It has a 900-year history and the culture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Most people in the town have the family name Huang or Yao, and therefore.. the town is named Huangyao

Walking in Yangshuo / Part 1 (广西阳朔1), Guangxi, China
Surrounded by KARST peaks and bordered on one side by the Li River, YANGSHUO, one of the most beatiful places in China, is easily accessible by bus or by boat from nearby Guilin.
CHINA: Guìlín - Líjiāng Trekking from Yangdi to Xingping
[14,980_65] A 6 hours Yangdi-Xingping trek along Líjiāng. Regular Yángshuò-Yangdi buses take about 1 hour. After the Yangdi ferry crossing, the trek thru' farms & villages to the 2nd ferry crossing at Quanjiazhou takes about 1 hour. There you can take a raft and continued on foot to the 3rd ferry crossing at the 9 Horses Mural Hill where the tram to Xingping will stop by the scenery featured on the RMB 20 note. The tram ride is included in the fare for the 3 ferry crossings. At Xingping Bus Station, there're buses to Yángshuò till about 8 pm. If you start from Xingping in the morning, the scenery featured on the RMB 20 note will not be back lit, but the last Yangdi - Yángshuò bus is around 5 pm. Continue with Xingping -Yángshuò video

The 20-yuan banknote, debuted in 1999, has yet another portrait of Mao Zedong and its reverse features a drawing of the scenic Lijiang River in South China.
There are many scenic places along the Li jiang river (Li River) including a scene in Xingping Village which is printed on the back of 20 Yuan banknotes. The primary image on the reverse side of the note is a view of a fisherman on his bamboo raft floating down the Li River through the spectacular karst hills of Guilin region. The beautiful scenery here is a common subject of Chinese paintings as well as the inspiration for poetry.

Nice afternoon in Xing Ping
After a nice afternoon with the girls from that old place in xing ping i did meet Delphine and we had some beers. Later, searching for food we got invited at a funeral where we had lots of food and even mor to drink.
