EXPLORING DUSSELDORF, walking around the historic ALTSTADT (the OLD CITY)
SUBSCRIBE: - The Altstadt (the Old City), Dusseldorf (Germany). Düsseldorf is a city in western Germany known for its fashion industry and art scene. It's divided by the Rhine River, with its Altstadt (Old Town) on the east bank and modern commercial areas to the west. In the Altstadt, St. Lambertus Church and Schlossturm (Castle Tower) both date to the 13th century. Streets such as Königsallee and Schadowstrasse are lined with boutique shops.

Berlin, its capital, is home to art and nightlife scenes, the Brandenburg Gate and many sites relating to WWII. Munich is known for its Oktoberfest and beer halls, including the 16th-century Hofbräuhaus. Frankfurt, with its skyscrapers, houses the European Central Bank.

Dusseldorf 0ld Town Germany Travel Video
Dusseldorf 0ld Town Germany Travel Video - We visited old town Dusseldorf for a couple of hours before going to the beer börse in Neuss. We stopped at Zum Schlüssel and had a fine lunch with good beer. We walked some of the old town streets and took a look along the river where they had plenty of places to eat and drink. We ran into a small demonstration parade along the way.

Travel Germany - Visiting Old Town in Düsseldorf
Take a tour of Düsseldorf Old Town in Düsseldorf, Germany -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats.
Düsseldorf, Germany's Old Town encapsulates both modern and historic culture, art, and architecture.
The Old Town's most notable landmark is the Castle Tower, which now houses a shipping museum.
It is the only remaining segment of the magisterial palace that once adorned the town's center until it was destroyed in a fire in 1872.
Düsseldorf's skyline is permeated by a mixture of five centuries of architectural styles.
The Burgplatz, the town's largest square, affords a perfect view of the Castle Tower while serving as a communal gathering place.
Settled along the famous Rhine River, Old Town creates a welcoming, historic, cultural, and medieval atmosphere.

Top Sightseeing Spots Duesseldorf: Old Town (english)
The Longest Bar in the World: locals and tourists meet here, here celebrate bachelor parties and trade fair visitors, here are football and ice hockey fans welcome, as well as students and bowling clubs. This is the Old Town. The heart of Dusseldorf. With spots for everyone. At Bolker Straße it is a bit louder and rougher, at Ratinger Straße you'll find more students and locals. Everyone meets in front of Uerige, eats at Schneider-Wibbel-Gasse and on Berger Straße. And dancing? No worries: Quartier Bohème, Stone, Schickimicki, Elephant Bar, Sir Walter - there is a lot going on.
The nickname Longest Bar in the World does not come from a single bar, but from the many bars, pubs and breweries you'll find here next to each other.
An important tip: in the breweries, the waiters - here called Köbesse - bring a new beer until you place your beer mat on your empty glass. That means: I have enough.
Videoguide Düsseldorf:
On our channel we present the Top Sightseeing Spots and Top Events in Dusseldorf. This video presents a city tour of Cologne (Köln), Germany with its major city's attractions and top sights.
Located on the banks of Rhine River, North Rhine-Westphalia state, Cologne is both ancient and modern, severely damaged during the World War II, with history dating back to Roman times.
Today, Cologne is one of the most important commercial and cultural centers of Germany, home to numerous museums, galleries, arts and entertainment venues.
This video covers the following city's attractions: Cologne Cathedral (major landmark), Hohenzollern bridge, the Old town (Altstadt), Alter Markt square, City hall (Rathaus), Great St.Martin Church, major museums: Ludwig, Roman-Germanic, Wallraf-Richartz and Chocolate museum.
Rhine river, Schildergasse street (shopping area), Rudolfplatz and Aachener street (part of Belgian quarter), Opera house are also featured in the video.
Cologne Triangle building has observation deck on the top floor offering great panoramic views of the city (it was closed during my visit).
Other places not featured in this video, worth visiting in nice weather are the Botanical garden and the Zoo in the north of the city. There is also the Cable car that is a great way to see the city from above (it operates only from April-October and it was closed during my visit).

Walking Around Old Town Dusseldorf
We didn't wanna wait for about 20 mins for a table at Schumacher and ended up walking around the old town for half an hour before we settled down for food. WE WERE HUNGRY!
Places to see in ( Dusseldorf - Germany ) Rheinufer
Places to see in ( Dusseldorf - Germany ) Rheinufer
With the Rhine promenade , the designed Rhine bank, the waterfront in the amount of the Düsseldorf districts Old Town , Carlstadt and port is called. The Rhine promenade includes the streets Tonhallenufer , Schlossufer , Rathausufer and Mannesmannufer .
The promenade was built in the course of a Ufervorverschiebung in 1900. At that time two levels were built. The lower served to handle the shipping traffic and provided space for the necessary facilities. On the upper level there was already a promenade at that time. After the Second World War , the banks of the Rhine for the Federal Highway 1 was redesigned. Instead of the promenade a multi-lane road was created, which separated the city from the Rhine by its barrier effect.
After the construction of the Rheinufer Tunnel in the 1990s, during which the entire federal highway was laid underground, the banks of the Rhine were redesigned according to the plans of the architects Niklaus Fritschi , Benedikt Stahl and Günter Baum . In 1995, two years after the completion of the tunnel, the new promenade was celebrated by one million visitors with a big party. Since then it has been a popular destination for tourists from Dusseldorf. The outside staircase in the height of Burgplatz is often occupied by sunbathing visitors to the Old Town. The museum has been located at the height of the former Mannesmann high- rise since 2007KIT .
Further south, the new Apollo Varieté was built below the Rheinkniebrücke . The expansion as a promenade ends at the southern part of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. The design of the Rhine promenade was awarded several times, including 1998 with the German Urbanization Award .
( Dusseldorf - Germany ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Dusseldorf . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Dusseldorf - Germany
