Christmas Market in Switzerland is very popular, most of the cities have their own Christmas Market. There are varieties of market stalls, from food stalls, dried meats, handmade regional products and homemade Christmas gifts. The most common and popular products to consume during this festivities are Mulled wine (or in German: Glühwine), Raclette and Cheese Fondue. All of those will keep you warm during this cold winter season.

Graubünden is the home Canton of my husband and we went there for the weekend. Since it is pre-Christmas season, we decided to visit the Christmas market in Chur.
I enjoyed strolling through the festively decorated old town in Chur, its so beautiful and there are varieties of things to discover.

Chur is the capital of the Swiss canton of Graubünden and lies in the northern part of the canton. Chur is situated at the right shore of the Rhine River and is known as the oldest town of Switzerland.

Chur is situated at a height of 1,949 ft (594 m) above sea-level, on the right bank of the Plessur torrent, just as it issues from the Schanfigg valley, and about a mile above its junction with the Rhine, almost entirely surrounded by the Alps, overshadowed by the Mittenberg (east) and Pizokel (south), hills that guard the entrance to the deep-cut Schanfigg valley.

RhB September 1989 — Chur .... strolling through the Old Town

How close is the RhB Arosa Line to parts of the Old Town in Chur? Very close!
Those RhB fans who miss the walk through the narrow streets and alleys of the Old Town with its remarkable architecture .....
Perhaps they'll get the drift on the next visit.

Wie nahe liegt die Arosa Linie bei der Churer Altstadt? Sehr nahe!
Die RhB Freunde welche den Spaziergang durch Chur's Altstadt verpassen........ All die engen Strassen und Gassen mit der bemerkenswerten Architektur .....

Beautiful Thun, Switzerland in 4K

Flying over the city and around some totally amazing sites with my DJI Mavic Pro drone. I was on small windy road on a hill surrounded by trees but the drone had an amazing vantage point and has awesome range.

★ Cab Ride Chur - Zürich, Switzerland [2016]

On this trip, we're travelling in an SBB class Re 460 locomotive from Chur in the south east of Switzerland to Zürich main station. Due to high passenger volume, 2 trains ran with about a 3 minute gap between them, the first one can be seen leaving at the start of the video.
Interesting on this stretch is the brief single track section at 30:10. One might ask, why leave such a short part of the line single tracked on this long double tracked line? Well, before the 3955m Kerenzerberg Tunnel was opened in 1960, trains would continue along the lake, passing through 3 smaller tunnels as a single track line. If you look closely at 31:23, you can see where the old track used to lead between the mountain and the lake. Today, the old track serves as a bicycle track.
