I play with VERY RARE 50 YEAR OLD golf clubs!
These clubs are the Ping K1 Karsten 1 irons that were produced in 1969 and are very very rare in this condition!
Thanks to Clitheroe GC for allowing me to us the course for filming.
It was in great condition.

10-year-old Karl plays Poppy Hills Golf Club and Pebble Beach
Karl playing Poppy Hills Golf Course at Pebble Beach.
Many features of Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill such as massive hills and sideways sloping fairways are shared with the 2012 US Open course The Olympic Club which is located a little further up the coast in California.
Afterwards we checked out the Spyglass Hill and Spanish Bay courses before walking a few holes at Pebble Beach itself.

Local PC candidate launches election campaign in Centennial Park in Olds
Local PC Alberta candidate, Wade Bearchell launched his election campaign in Centennial Park in Olds on April 9th. Alberta Premier Jim Prentice stopped in to flip burgers and support Bearchell who is a Town of Olds Councillor and manager of the Olds Highlands Golf Club.
Premier Prentice and Bearchell each took turns speaking to the crowd of more than 200 people gathered in the park in Uptowne Olds.
The Alberta provincial election has been called for May 5th. Preceding the election for the Olds Didsbury Three Hills riding is a candidate forum at the Pomerroy Inns and Suites in Olds on Friday April 24th starting at 7:00pm. Watch Olds Community TV on channel 148 on the O-NET IPTV network for coverage of the forum and more on the election campaign as it happens.

Turfgrass Management | Olds College
As of January 2015, Olds College will be offering a one year certificate, a two year diploma in Turfgrass Management and a four year Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Golf Course Management. These options allow students to have greater flexibility with their busy lifestyles. Although this is a four year degree in Golf Course Management, there are several exit points allowing students to take as much, or as little education as they desire. There is an exit point after two years giving the student a diploma in Turfgrass Management or after the first year where the student will gain a certificate in Turfgrass Management.

Will Lodge (9 yr old - Highlights) - 2013 US Kids Golf World Championship
Junior golfer Will Lodge playing in the 2013 US Kids Golf World Championship in Pinehurst, NC from August 1-3, 2013. Will played in the 9 year old division at Pinehurst #1 at the Pinehurst Resort. He shot 79, 77, 76 over the 54-hole three day tournament and placed 28th out of an international field of 138. The course played to 4,633 yards, where hole yardages ranged from 109-139 for par 3s, 215-305 for par 4s, and 366-418 for par 5s. The event included more than 1,200 kids aged 6-12 from over 30 countries.
Congrats to our friends:
- Ben James, who won this year's 10 yr old division (@ 14 under par!),
- Jeevan Sihota, who won Will's 8 yr old division last year, and
- Alexander Yang, who won the 9-10 yr old division at this year's Callaway Junior Worlds!
The TOP Program works with the TOP Courses in the World.
Only the minority get selected to intern at this course. It's clearly not for everyone, and the criteria is much more than being a good intern, you have to be respectful of all things golf related, on top of being a great intern. Clearly Stuart Diamond, who is a good networker, a good historian, and someone who has overcome a lot to get here, respects what it takes to be a good intern at PV. Gosta Training in Glasgow, should be very proud of him.
