The magic of the Carnival continues in the colonial town of Olinda with the young and old partying together. As expected, the 2014 Carnival in Olinda will play host to a number of celebrities who head to the town every year to enjoy the Carnival delights. Energetic crowds line the streets right from morning, dancing to the pulsating rhythms of drums and horns. No Carnival in Olinda is complete without a costume that range from the most exotic to the most outrageous. The Carnival is all about having fun, with the first party beginning two Sundays before the Carnival. The show is inaugurated by the New Virgens do Bairro Novo de Olinda, a group that sets the Carnival fires alight. The giant papier-mâché puppets or Bonecos are equally popular and can be seen marching all through the Carnival week.

The state of Pernambuco in northeast Brazil is home to some of the most traditional and massive Carnaval celebrations out there. In the colorful colonial town of Olinda, you'll see the famous bonecos gigantes parading through the streets as people dance to frevo music. A few miles away in the capital of Recife, the biggest Carnaval parade in the world happens bright and early on Saturday morning. Check out some highlights from both in this short video!

Recife Brazília északnyugati részén az Atlanti-óceán partján fekszik ott, ahol a Rio Beberibe és a Rio Capibaribe egyesül. A várost fekvése miatt Amerika Velencéjének is nevezik, hiszen a folyótorkolatok szigeteket zárnak közre, melyeket hidak kötnek össze. South America Vlog #6 - UNESCO Historic City of Olinda & Recife, Brazil
Here we visited UNESCO World Heritage Site, the historic city center of Olinda, a very colorful city full of amazing buildings, churches, and more with insane views of the coast as well as the city of Recife.
Unfortunately, the GoPro had been having issues once again so we were unable to record anything other than the drone shots of Olinda. I wish we would have had more time here because there truly is so much more to see, I feel this video does not do it justice.
We also visited a really beautiful beach about an hour or so away called Porto Gallinhas where there was a massive Palm Tree forest and an amazing place to catch the sunset.
