Peru Travel Vlog /Incas last ancient village/Ollantaytambo
Travel around Peru. Journey to NOW-HERE with Mike Satori aka Satori Cinema. Discovering last Incas villages in Ollantaytambo.
~ Journey to Nowhere - NOW & HERE. To reinvent yourself, to create your own path, to realize the immensity, eternity of your existence, to raise human consciousness ~ always do what makes you joyful, loveful and peaceful.
This place - village is called Ollantaytambo,it is a former Inca administrative center and gateway to the Antisuyo (the Amazon corner of the Inca Empire), sits at the northern end of the Sacred Valley. At the time of the Spanish invasion and conquest of Peru Ollantaytambo served as the last stronghold for Inca Manco Yupanqui, leader of the Inca resistance at the time. Nowadays the Ollantaytambo ruins and town are an important and popular tourist attraction in the Sacred Valley.
These huge terraces make up what is called the Fortress or Temple Hill. As you enter the important Temple of the Sun you will see a number of discarded large stone known as piedras cansadas, tired stones. This uncompleted temple holds the Wall of the Six Monoliths. Each of these stones weighs 50 tons and were brought from the nearby quarry.

The Sacred Valley of the Incas | Peru Travel Vlog 2019 | Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, Maras, Moray
The Sacred Valley of the Incas | Peru Travel 2019 | Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, Maras, Moray ✈️ From Lima we flew to Cusco and took a transport down to Urubamba in the Sacred Valley. We had no organized tours arranged because we were unsure how we'd react to the high altitude and wanted to have flexibility and allow time to adjust. Once we arrived we felt great and ready to explore, so we used the local mini taxis for short trips around Urubamba. We also negotiated a tour around the Sacred Valley with a regular taxi driver. At our request, he took us to Ollantaytambo, Maras, and Moray, and even recommended a wonderful place for lunch. We loved the Sacred Valley. What a beautiful place! ✈️ #SacredValley #Peru #Urubamba #blacktravel #couplestravel

Peru: Chapter 10 An Evening In Ollantaytambo
We decided to hit up the other side of town on our last night in Ollantaytambo. After a few rounds of drinks, and a ride in a small buggy vehicle, we settled back at the hotel restaurant for a nice dinner.

OLLANTAYTAMBO – A Genuinely Authentic Peruvian Town
Ollantaytambo is known as the busy jumping off point for the Inca Rail and Machu Picchu, but if you move past the one busy road filled with tourists and explore the surrounding small town, it quickly becomes an authentic Peruvian experience full of native farming and almost unvisited ruins.

Mysterious Faces and Granaries at Ollantaytambo - Cusco, Peru
Visit to check out great information about mysterious and fantastic places on earth.
Two mysterious faces can be seen from the Ollantaytambo fort. These are huge faces which are naturally formed on the mountain opposite to the fort. However, the Incas carved the eyes and some rough features into them to give meaning to them. One of them is Viracocha or Tunupa, the God of creation. Experts don't agree on who the other face represents. Also, you can see plenty of granaries built on the mountains. They were used to store grains (duh) .

Ollantaytambo, Peru, 2017
The 10th Day:
Around the mid-15th century, the Inca emperor Pachacuti conquered and razed Ollantaytambo; the town and the nearby region were incorporated into his personal estate.[1] The emperor rebuilt the town with sumptuous constructions and undertook extensive works of terracing and irrigation in the Urubamba Valley; the town provided lodging for the Inca nobility while the terraces were farmed by yanakuna, retainers of the emperor.
