Olympic Plaza is a beautiful destination place for downtown Calgary workers during lunch hour. The plaza was built in 1988 for the Olympic Winter Games and has the only refridgerated outdoor ice surface in the city.

Experiencing an Olympic Bobsleigh in Calgary at WinSport (Olympic Park Calgary)
Calgary may be famous for the Calgary Stampede but the winter brings many other unique activities. In this case, we're talking about Olympic bobsleighing!
For those who don't know, Calgary was home to the 1988 Winter Olympics, which was also the basis for the movie Cool Runnings, which features the Jamaican Bobsleigh Team.
Available at Canada Olympic Park Calgary (also known as WinSport and C.O.P.) from November to March, you have the unique opportunity to try an adrenaline-packed Olympic sport. With a professional driver steering you down the track, you'll experience up to 4-G Forces as you cruise down the track at around100 km/h!
It's a chance to feel like a speeding bullet and a truly unique activity not available in many places in the world.
In this short 1-minute video, we go to C.O.P to try the bobsleigh ourselves! Yes, it's a short video, but the actual run is less than a minute!
