Advocate Coverage of Georgetown Texas Lighting the Square 2016

Pacesetter Homes - Saddle Creek (Georgetown, Texas)
- So I have grown up in Georgetown. I sell in Williamson County and Georgetown all the time, and I specifically brought my buyers to Saddle Creek because of the beautiful scenery. It's kinda in a country setting but with all the amenities of the city. You're literally just a few miles from I-35, a few miles from the toll road on 130. You are only literally about five minutes from the Downtown Square, which was voted one of the most popular squares in all of the United States. Just tons of shopping, eating, drinking, live music. It's just a hot spot and a fun place for everyone of all ages.
- So what really stands out to me about Saddle Creek is the proximity of the schools, first of all. So right at the entrance, there's an elementary school and a middle school, so pretty convenient. I'm also liking the amenities that are gonna be provided here, not only a fitness center, a pool, hike and bike trails, a deck and lounge, barbecue stations around the community.
- The proximity to Georgetown is absolutely marvelous. Five minutes, you're in beautiful historic Georgetown. One of the things I love in the summertime, they actually have live music on the Square. And it's every age. The kids are running around. You bring your yard chairs. And it's just old town Americana. That's what I love about Georgetown.
- What's exciting about showing Saddle Creek is that there's such a nice variety of great built homes and different builders that really care about their clients, so I'm very comfortable bringing my clients out here to talk with the sales reps.
Georgetown, Texas Why It's A Great Place To Buy Real Estate
Be sure to visit and for help purchasing or selling your next home.
Georgetown is a city in and the county seat of suburban Williamson County, Texas, United States[3], with a population of 47,400 at the 2010 census. Southwestern University, the oldest university in Texas, was founded in 1840 and is located in Georgetown about one-half mile from the historic square. Sun City Texas (formerly called Sun City Georgetown) is a large retirement-oriented and age-restricted development that constitutes more than one-third of Georgetown's population.
Georgetown has a notable range of Victorian commercial and residential architecture. In 1976, a local historic ordinance was passed to recognize and protect the significance of the historic central business district, and in 1977, the Williamson County Courthouse Historic District, containing some 46 contributing structures, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[4]
Georgetown is known as the Red Poppy Capital of Texas for the many red poppy (Papaver rhoeas) wildflowers planted throughout the city in many residents' front yards that bloom each spring. Georgetown's Red Poppy Festival, which attracts up to 30,000 visitors annually, is held in April each year on the historic square.
Geographically, Georgetown lies across the Balcones Escarpment,[5] a fault line that divides Georgetown into areas roughly east of Interstate 35 in the Blackland Prairie which is flat farmland characterized by having black, fertile soils, where cotton is the primary crop; and the west side of the Escarpment which consists of hilly, karst-like terrain pocketed with vugular limestone openings that allow water to percolate through the limestone and into the Edwards Aquifer below. The area typically has little topsoil and has higher elevations, and is considered part of the Texas Hill Country

What agents are saying about SaddleCreek (Georgetown, Texas)
- So I have grown up in Georgetown. I sell in Williamson County and Georgetown all the time and I specifically brought my buyers to Saddle Creek because of the beautiful scenery. It's kind of in the country setting but with all the amenities of the city. You're literally just a few miles from I-35, a few miles from the toll road of 130, you are only literally about five minutes from the downtown square which was voted one of the most popular squares in all of the United States. Just tons of shopping, eating, drinking, live music. It's just a hot spot and a fun place for everyone of all ages.
- What stands out to me about Saddle Creek is all the great amenities they have. If you have a gym membership, get rid of it because they have a fitness center with a weight room here. It's going to be a better deal for your money to buy out here than other places around Austin. The price point starts in the mid-200s and the tax rate is better out here.
- What really stands out to me about Saddle Creek is the school, the elementary and the middle school is right by the entrance. And it has a gorgeous, beautiful entrance and has beautiful homes that are being built and they're not all cookie cutter homes. They're all built differently. We have several builders here.
- Well, first and foremost, Georgetown is historic in Texas and it's 3.5 miles from the downtown district. Great bars, restaurants, and it's just open out here. It's more free, you're not in the town kind of traffic environment and it's a little more peaceful out here.
- So, there are a ton of different floor plans out here. They're ranging from 1200 to 3800 square feet. They're great price points. They're starting at about 230,000 going up into the 300,000. It's really easy to get into and great for first-time home buyers as well.
- So what really stands out to me about Saddle Creek is the proximity of the schools first of all. So, right at the entrance there's an elementary school and a middle school, so pretty convenient. I'm also liking the amenities that are gonna be provided here, not only a fitness center, a pool, hike and bike trails, a deck and lounge, barbecue stations around the community.

You bring, and it's every age, the kids are running around. You bring your yard chairs and it's just old town Americana. That's what I love about Georgetown.
- What's so exciting about what is being offered here at Saddle Creek is there's a little bit for everybody. There's one story small homes that are two bedrooms if you wanted to downsize, if you're empty-nester. That way you don't have to go to a 55+ community. And then if you have a bigger family, we have bigger homes. So there's a range and a lot of different styles and sizes to fit anybody.
- What's exciting about showing Saddle Creek is that there is such a nice variety of great built homes and different builders that really care about their clients so I'm very comfortable bringing my clients out here to talk with the sales reps.

Hershey’s Chocolate World is the name of eight visitor centers that started in Hershey, Pennsylvania, United States.
Open year-round, Hershey's Chocolate World offers marketplace shops and restaurants, specializing in Hershey's chocolate products. Attractions include Hershey's Great Chocolate Factory Mystery in 4D, the Hershey Trolley Works, Create Your Own Candy Bar, and a free Chocolate Tour ride.
The first Hershey's Chocolate World is located off of Hersheypark Drive, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and is in an entertainment complex that also includes Hersheypark, Hersheypark Stadium, Hersheypark Arena, Hershey Museum, and Giant Center. The Las Vegas location is where the Broadway Theatre used to be.
Although Hersheypark and Chocolate World are in the same complex, both operate independently of each other. Chocolate World is owned by The Hershey Company (formerly Hershey Foods), while Hersheypark is owned by Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company (HE&R). However, the Hershey Company and HE&R are both owned by the Hershey Trust Company.
Parking is available via a separate lot that is free for the first three hours only, or via the Hersheypark parking lot (when the park is open), which offers a tram service to and from Hershey's Chocolate World. While the facility is open year-round (except Christmas), hours vary depending on the season, ranging anywhere from 9 am to 11 pm.

Introduction to Arlington, Virginia
Arlington is a county located in the Commonwealth of Virginia, on the west bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington, D.C. Although sometimes referred to as a city, Arlington is actually a county which contains no incorporated towns or cities within its boundaries. Originally part of the 10-mile square area set aside in 1791 for the nation’s capital, the land now comprising Arlington County was returned to the Commonwealth of Virginia by the U.S. Congress in 1846 and was known at the time as Alexandria County. In 1852, the independent City of Alexandria was incorporated from a portion of the County, leading to confusion, as two adjacent municipal entities continued to share the same name (Alexandria). The confusion was resolved in 1920, when Alexandria County renamed itself Arlington County, borrowing its name from the Arlington National Cemetery, which had been established during the Civil War on the grounds of Confederate General Robert E. Lee's former home, Arlington House.
Although best known generally as the home of the Pentagon, The Iwo Jima War Memorial, and Arlington National Cemetery, the County is also an important employment center. The Federal Government accounts for the lion's share of the roughly 200,000 jobs in Arlington, but high-tech companies have become increasingly prominent, as have several major associations, Fortune 500 companies, and other nationally known employers. The County’s residential population is among the most highly educated in the nation and is increasingly diverse. Arlington is the home of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and is serviced by the Orange, Blue and Yellow lines of the Washington Metro. The County is traversed by two Interstate highways, I-66 and I-395; as well as by the George Washington Memorial Parkway.
Arlington Area Attractions
The name Arlington is synonymous in many people's minds with Arlington National Cemetery, the most famous national cemetery in the United States. Veterans from all the nation's wars are buried in the cemetery, as are two former Presidents (John F. Kennedy and William Howard Taft). Also located in Arlington are the Pentagon, headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, and several notable memorials, including the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial (also known as the Iwo Jima Memorial), the U.S. Air Force Memorial, and the Women in Military Service for America Memorial.
Other attractions in Arlington include the Arlington Arts Center, founded in 1976 and housed in the historic Maury School; the Arlington Historical Museum, housed in a two-story brick structure built in 1891 and currently standing as the oldest school building in Arlington County. The Ball-Sellers house, a one-room log cabin with a loft built by a farmer named John Ball in 1742, is a rare example of an ordinary person's dwelling of the 1700s. The Ellipse Arts Center is a 3,000 square foot visual arts facility which opened in 1990, and presents a diverse schedule of high quality programs in the visual arts. A wealth of other attractions abound in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, including the following:
The National Mall
Ford's Theatre
The National Archives
National Air and Space Museum
International Spy Museum
Lincoln Theatre
John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
Chinatown
African American Civil War Memorial
Blair House
Folger Shakespeare Library
National Geographic Society
Frederick Douglass National Historic Site
National Building Museum
Visitors to Arlington can take the very short trip to the other side of the Potomac, where the city of Washington hosts several major league professional sports franchises. These include football's Redskins (NFL), baseball's Nationals (MLB), basketball's Wizards (NBA) and Mystics (WNBA), hockey's Capitals (NHL), soccer's DC United (MLS), and lacrosse's Bayhawks (MLL).
