Sherlock is everything you'd expect from a Patterdale terrier! He's only about 3 years old and full of beans so he's into everything and everyone and doesn't keep still for a minute! If you're used to lively feisty terriers, then Sherlock may be right for your Holmes (ahem...)!
Type of home needed
Sherlock would be more suited to living on a farm or stables than in a standard home. He's very much an outdoors-y boy and doesn't enjoy being cooped up. He gets along with dogs in general but can take exception to some, and a little too much interest in others! Because of his very feisty Patterdale-ness, it's better that he live in an ADULT ONLY home. Sherlock is under going training at the centre and requires owners who will continue this once in a home. Due to his current training it is essential he lives in a rural location. He likes the company of other dogs and can share his home with a dog of similar play style.

Great Dane rescue puppies get second chance
The Humane Society of the United States assisted the Wolfeboro Police Department in the rescue of 84 Great Danes from a suspected puppy mill in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
The Wolfeboro Police Department served search and seizure and arrest warrants on the property at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 16 and found that the dogs were being housed in unsafe and unsanitary conditions. Eighty-four dogs have been rescued from this property as part of this effort.
The HSUS has safely transported the animals to a temporary emergency animal shelter at an undisclosed location.
Now at the shelter, the dogs will be thoroughly examined by a team of veterinarians and receive any necessary immediate medical treatment.

Missing Harry Martin's Body May Have Been Found
Police searching for a teenager who went missing after going out to take photos of stormy seas on the Devon coast have found a body.
Harry Martin, 18, from Membland, Newton Ferrers, was last seen on 2 January.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said the body had not yet been formally identified.
Friends and family started a new search for the teenager earlier on Saturday, with more than 130 people signing up through a Facebook page.
Mr Martin, who police said was a photography student, was last seen by his father leaving his home and walking towards a coastal path at about noon on Thursday 2 January.
Insp John Livingstone, of Devon and Cornwall Police, said the body was found in Carswell Cove in the Noss Mayo area by members of the public searching in canoes and kayaks at about 10:40 GMT.
He added that Mr Martin's family had been at the waterside when the body was brought ashore.
The police said formal identification would take place early next week.
'Sad day'
Police, the Dartmoor Rescue Group, coastguards and members of the public have all taken part in searches since then.
Extensive searches of a 20-mile stretch of coastline, 10 miles either side of Harry's home, have been carried out.
Earlier in the week 400 people attended a church service for the teenager.
On Saturday the Reverend Anne Legge, said it was yet another sad day for this community.
She added: But it marks the start of a different kind of journey. We are now in some ways relieved a body has been found.
So many people have been searching for what seems like such a long time now.
Mr Martin had recently started a course in film and TV production at Greenwich University in London but had been back home visiting his family for Christmas when he went missing.
