A massive thanks to all the people who have been watching this channel over the past 18 months since I got it up and running. We finally hit 1 million views!! Hurray!
There have been lots of changes to the channel, and I think most of the have been for the better. My goal with this YouTube channel isn't necessarily to gain views, but to build a little community. And, I can feel that starting to happen.
I'm still here in Oludeniz, Turkey and to celebrate hitting a million views, I had a pretty awesome day. I drove up Babadag mountain. To get there, you have to drive what must be the craziest road in Turkey. The views from the top were unreal. Absolutely nutty. Then, I drove back down the mountain to cap off my day with some drone footage with Fido at Butterfly Valley. What a great way to celebrate a million views!
Turkey Road trip Day 4 Marmaris, Fethiye by Life Travel Pepper
Day 4
This morning we thought of getting up early to enjoy the beach near the hotel, but it was a bit windy…so we just appreciated the giant breakfast that the host offered , full of fresh local fruits and vegetables, and got on the way, outlining the beautiful Marmaris coast.
On our way to Dalyan, we stopped at Lake Koycegiz, such an idyllic place, involved by the brume of the light rain that started falling at that minute. Having an area of 5200 hectares, Lake Köyceğiz is one of the vastest coastal lakes of Turkey. It is connected to the Mediterranean through a narrow and reedy channel called Dalyan which flows by a township of the same name (Dalyan).
Driving around we got at Yuvarlakçay, a beautiful place, overgrown of large trees and lots of water, where we could sit and drink something on top of cozy small spaces suspended on the streamlet. There, we became passionate by the swing that could take us high above the natural pool and feel so free and connected to mother nature.
At the middle of the afternoon we arrived at the town of Dalyan, an elegant place, garnished by the glowing Dalyan river that wind up the village. Here we got the opportunity of catching a small boat and cross the river to watch closer the Kings Rock Tombs e the ancient city of Kaunos.
The Kings Rock Tombs are magnificent carved tombs into the sides of hilltops and mountains, a resting place for prominent members of Lycian society, who were buried with their most treasured possessions that would accompany them into the afterlife. No doubt, overlooking the river, the six famous rock tombs are picture postcards of Dalyan.
Back on the road we were lucky enough to stop at the Sulungur Lake shore and watch one of the most beautiful sunsets we´ve ever seen (and we live at Azores :=).
At was already late when we got at Fethiye, where we stayed just a road across the beach, hoping that tomorrow we can wake up and take a dip on the turquoise Mediterranean ocean.

In this Turkish travel vlog we continue our digital nomad journey and road trip to Ölüdeniz Fethiye. We do a section of the Lycian way to get possible the best view in Turkey overlooking the Blue Lagoon. This epic view allows you to see the pristine clear blue water and the paragliders making their way to the iconic Turkish beach. The best surprise was coming across the Turkish wildlife when we found a bunch of tortoises wandering the Lycian trail. After we went for lunch to try some more Turkish food.
Then we visit the Oludeniz Blue Lagoon nature reserve and swam in the turquoise water. Finally to end this Turkey vlog we try and fail to find a spot to watch sunset, we went to Butterfly Valley but couldn't find the best vantage point in time. We did find some more Turkish animals here when we stumbled across a herd of mountain goats.

After 5 years of aimless, yet enjoyable, backpacking around the world we found ourselves in New York City battling with depression. Our time spent battling depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now travelling the world in search of what makes us happy. In our vlogs, we talk openly and honestly about our travel experiences, the digital nomad life and depression. We hope our videos can help to inspire you to create a life that makes you happy!

OLUDENIZ TURKEY 2018: SAILING, PARAGLIDING & CRUISING THE TURKISH COAST
Welcome to Turkey! I spent one week in the Dalaman region of Turkey on a press trip with Jet2 and Dalaman Airport. Here are some of the highlights!
Filmed entirely on the Canon G7X Mark ii:
Drone shots filmed on the DJI Mavic Air:
Our week in Turkey took us to two main areas, both within easy reach of Dalaman airport: Oludeniz and Marmaris.
Both Oludeniz and Marmaris are known as package holiday destinations so I wanted to see what else they have to offer travellers. And I was impressed.
These are some of the highlights from our week in the Dalaman area of Turkey, including:
- Paragliding over Oludeniz beach and the Blue Lagoon with Sky Star Paragliding
- Taking an island-hopping boat cruise in Gocek
- Sailing down the Dalyan river, where we saw the Lycian rock tombs and sea turtles
- Discovering the Azmak river and the foliage beneath it
- Getting the softest skin ever at the Dalyan Peloid mud bath
We stayed at the Liberty Hotel in Oludeniz and and the D Resort Gran Azur hotel in Marmaris.
Big thanks to Mel @illumelation for being my model throughout the week. I filmed the entire video on the Canon G7X Mark II.
Big thanks to Jet2 and Dalaman Airport for organising such a cool trip. I plan on sharing more of the behind the scenes of travel blogging life, press trips and other blogging assignments from now on, so let me know if that's something you'd like to see :) And as always, thanks for watching!

I'm back on the road today to the town of Oludeniz. On the way, I drive one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world, and am awed at the colour of the water. I mean look at the colour of this water! Look at it!
The drive from Cirali to Oludeniz was fantastic and made even better by a stop at the ruins of Myra. These ruins are absolutely fantastic. I'm actually blown away by how many amazing sites there are in Turkey that we don't ever really hear about. Myra was great, the drive was fantastic, and life is good.

Olu-Deniz, Turkey, 2019
Early arrival this year meant it was relatively quiet before the build-up to the 20th Air Games.
Not as many flights as previous years, but quality and personal bests more than made up for that. A peak altitude of over 10,000 feet (3040 meters), a total airtime of 13 hours 41 minutes, an FAI triangle of 36km, an XC of 38.5km. Seven flights made from the mountain - all but one on the 1,900m and my first exit from the new 1,700 one - three landings away from the beach, four on the Prom.
Trying to get the best bits out of all the video without making the result too big is always a challenge and I'm not sure I've got it down enough this time, but there was only so much I could trim down - 13+ hours down to 13 minutes can't be that bad?. Enjoy :D
1st flight was with high cloud cover so the camera went into the wing for some arial shots on the way down from a simple top-to-bottom flight.
2nd flight was quite different - a 'hotter than usual' period meant greater potential for higher climbs and I was treated to a peak of over 10k feet (3040 meters) today and it was really nice to stay up for 3:39 keeping cool in the high altitudes avoiding the baking beach! Several short hops over to Mendos behind and back eventuall leading to a push over to Butterfly Bay before riding the sea-breeze back to town.
3rd flight offered the lure of XC and I pushed South away from the masses on the main mountain. A couple of 'low saves' meant I was able to inch my way back and after another 3+ hour flight I came back to the beach to land in front of the Cloud9 bar - an FAI triangle of 22.3miles (36km) and a very rewarding outing.
4th flight had me tempted to make a crossing over the valley to the East and making a very similar line to one last year, ended up landing within inches of the same spot - near to a Dolmus 'rest area' so it was an easy trip back on the bus to town! An XC of nearly 16miles and clearing 9k feet in the process.
5th flight started from the 1,900 launch with some pretty strong Westerly winds which was clearly catching a lot of pilots out resulting in some pretty nasty injuries. After watching the melee for a time before setting up I found it quite comparable with a lot of UK opportunities, and had no problem with getting airborne! Soon in amongst the clouds again I pushed to the South and was soon making better progress than I had last year, clearing all the way to the beach at Karadere. I had the big hills to the East once again in my sights and went for a crossing only to be hit by the sea-breeze at Palamut and eventually getting grounded just at the foothills. A short walk into town, a taxi to Fethiye, and a Dolmus back to town was all part of the adventure - 75km (via Saklikent) to get back along the roads! :D
6th flight was a little frustrating as I pushed South again under a lower cloudbase but then elected to turn back, getting stuck on the lower hills of Mendos behind Babadag. After a lot of scratching around I managed to get back to the top only to get tempted out into the valley under what looked to be a bit of convergence. Not wanting to get stranded too far away today I tried to push back again but got drilled on the NE side and landed near Bozyer. After a short hike I was picked up by a kind man on a motorbike which resulted in my first ever 'pillion' ride (not enthralled at carrying a 20kg rucksack and wearing only flip-flop shoes!!) to an intersection where I got straight onto a Dolmus and back to town in time for 'one last go'?
7th, and final, flight was meant to be for the 'sunset' but due to only getting as far as the '1,700' launch where a few hundred other pilots were fighting for space with tricky conditions I set about getting away earlier than planned. Cloud, quite thick in places, was building below launch obscuring the town which had people delaying launching, but still taking up limited space on the deck. I could see a route behind, to the North, avoiding the dangerous prospect of flying through cloud with so many others in the air, so found a small space and went for it! I got away on my second attempt, with the breeze switching continuously, and flew around the edges to stay visible and away from the majority - who just 'went for it'! - to enjoy the beautiful sun reflection coming over the sea capturing as much as I could on video in the calm, silky smooth, air. Landing was bang on target outside the BuzzBar avoiding the masses who were all trying to hit the same spot further up.
Podgers cliff drive Sept 2012
The road along the cliffs from Olu Deniz. Hired a car and drove as far as we could. You can rent tree houses to sleep in at one place along the way. Gorgeous cliffs, hair-raising ( if I had any!) bends and breathtaking mountains

Likya Yolu | Ölüdeniz | Babadağ | Türkiye hiç böyle görmedin | BUNU YAPMAKTAN VAZGEÇ. Evimi Kirletme
Evimi kirletme...
Teşekkürler
