Time-Lapse Tuesday: Queenstown New Zealand
It’s Tuesday, so once again it’s “time” to “lapse” it up! (See what we did there?) Each week, we share a new way of looking at this big blue planet of ours. While a photo does a great job of capturing what we see with our own eyes, a time-lapse reveals just how little the eye can see. With a landscape as stunning as this, it's easy to see how Queenstown stakes its claim as the adventure capital of the world.
With over 220 adventure activities on offer, Queenstown, New Zealand is a one-stop-shop for adrenaline junkies the world over. And with landscapes like this to calm you down after a jump, glide, free-fall, or bike, it just might be a place of perfect balance too.

QUEENSTOWN 2019 SNOW TRIP DAYS 1 - 3
QUEENSTOWN 2019 SNOW TRIP DAYS 1 - 3
BEYOND PERSPECTIVE CLOTHING
Day 1:
We stayed at the Budget Ibis hotel, Sydney Airport for the first night of our journey to New Zealand.
Was a great place to stay, can't expect to much with the name but it was a comfy bed for the night and a hot shower in the morning so no complaints on our end.
Day 2:
We got the shuttle from the hotel to the airport and began the process of checking in and getting the snowboard bag to the oversize section of departures( snowboard bag was 32kg and the limit is 23kg for checked baggage... the lady checking us in literally rolled her eyes and wrote out a heavy tag and told us to go to oversize and pointed behind her!!! We did not get this lucky on the flight home, it cost $170 extra beans for the extra weight)
When we landed in Christchurch and got our hire car we started the drive to Lake Tekapo where we would spend our first night in New Zealand.
We had the most amazing dinner at Dark Sky Diner near the edge of the lake and an amazing clear sky that made for some awesome night photography.
Day 3:
We got up early to enjoy the sunrise over the lake and used the Sony A5100 and the gopro to capture it, what a sight it was seeing the sun rise up over the distant snow capped mountain range.
We grabbed a coffee and a pie and the drive to Queenstown had started.
Stopping too many times along the way at all the lakes and lookouts to stare in awe at the amazing scenery took up most of the trip bujt it was a very beautiful and stunning scenic drive.
Arriving in Queenstown we haeded straight to Reavers Lodge to get setup in our Oz-snow accommodation for the next 8 nights.
Having a great corner loft room with our window facing directly at the Remarkables it was more than we expected to tell the truth, it was breathtaking every morning watching the sunrise over the Remarkables.
Stay tuned for part 2-3....

Appalling behaviour by the General Manager whilst attempting to check in. My colleague had booked this room for me on her credit card (but under my name), which she does on a regular basis for my travel. DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL. The buck stops with her.
A few things about Invercargill, New Zealand
A visit to a few spots around Invercargill, and some rumours i've heard about them. Be sure to thumbs down for my awesome editing skills.
The museum, among other buildings have survived some pretty big quakes in recent history, but the council have shut them down due to a supposed quake risk...but not every building o house in Invercargill, just a select few.

South Island, New Zealand | Road Trip Highlights [Adventure Ver.]
South Island, New Zealand
Road Trip Highlights [Adventure Version]
In Winter
----
Hello all, Guten Tag!
I went to the South Island of New Zealand in late June for a 2-week road trip with a friend. It was the winter season and the weather was quite cold, especially at night. Temperatures were ranging from 13 to -1 degree. There were days where it rained the entire day. We drove in a loop around the South Island and stopped by many scenic spots from town to town. These are the highlights of my trip. Enjoy!

Experience the beauty of Lake Wakatipu aboard the TSS Earnslaw. Soak up the Aotearoa sunshine on a sandy beach or in Queenstown Gardens. Queenstown, New Zealand - Travel Guide
Queenstown is one of the most magical places on earth. Breathtaking views and regarded by many as the the top must visit location in New Zealand.
We take you all around stunning Queenstown on this episode starting with a quick intro scene at:
Queenstown Gardens
Open: Any time
Travel tip, visit bookme.co.nz to get some cost savings on various Queenstown activities like we did too.
Every top 10 list for Queenstown on the internet has our next activity in there. We caught the Skyline Gondola up for a buffet spread at:
Stratosfare Restaurant
Address: Skyline Queenstown, Brecon St, Queenstown 9300
Hours: Monday - Sunday 11:30am–10:30pm
While you're up there don't forget to check out the viewing deck for some spectacular views of The Remarkables.
With our bellies full it was time for some adrenaline. Another must do activity in Queenstown is to take a ride on a jet boat.
Go Orange Jet Boat Queenstown
Address: Beach St, Queenstown 9300
Hours: Monday - Sunday 8am–5pm
We also made a quick stop at a popular spot - Cookie Time! Cookie Time was created in New Zealand so aside from being delicious, Cookie Time in Queenstown is the perfect place to pick up a little gift as they have a bunch of Cookie Time products that you can't get in normal stores. Just get ready for a bit of a line up as it's one busy little shop!
Address: 18 Camp St, Queenstown 9300
Hours: 8am - 10pm daily
At this point we attempted to drive down Glenorchy-Queenstown Rd to Glenorchy however with precious light running low we head back to check into our accommodation Copthorne Hotel & Apartments Queenstown Lakeview. We found this was the best priced accommodation in Queenstown during the off season.
Address: 88 Frankton Rd, Queenstown 9300
Phone: 03-442 7950
Then it was time for one of the most legendary food spots in Queenstown. A must visit food spot if you're in town. Often hailed as the best burger in New Zealand, Fergburger.
Fergburger
Address: 42 Shotover St, Queenstown 9300
Hours: Monday - Sunday 8am–5am
The next day we go on one of our favourite experiences of all time. Going on a helicopter ride with an alpine landing. A wonderful family run operation and the highlight of our amazing Queenstown trip. From the snowy mountaintop, all we could see was snow and clouds for as far as the horizon stretched. It was simply breathtaking.
If you're keen to try this activity too, we highly recommend you visit Jolanda, Richard and daughter Safi from Heliview Flights. They're a super lovely family and it's a beautiful scenic ride to their location when you're traveling from the town area.

30 Days and 30 Nights in Queenstown, New Zealand | Trey Ratcliff
I've just moved to New Zealand, and my first 30 days and 30 nights here made a powerful impression on me. I've never done anything quite like this before, so I thought I would share what I felt with you.
I also have a full free How-To video ( ) that shows how I did everything, in case you are curious and would like to try something like this yourself.
(Suggestion: Watch this 4K video Full Screen and with Good Speakers or earphones!)
The music is from my friend... one of the few people on earth that makes my heart beat a little faster than normal... Hans Zimmer. Just go ahead and buy all of Hans Zimmer's work... let it be the soundtrack of your life. :)
Over 300 hours of work went into the film's creation. The Full How-To Video is coming soon, but I did everything myself... the shooting, the post-processing, the editing and sync, etc etc... I used a violent mixture of many tools: Photomatix Pro ( ), Magic Bullet Looks ( ) , Topaz Adjust ( ), Nik Software, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, LRTimelapse ( Twixtor Pro, Final Cut X. Also thank you for logistical help to my assistant Abraham Stephenson.
I shot and edited the entire piece myself here in Queenstown, New Zealand. All of the shots are from this little fertile crescent. I get many questions about that interior shot, and that is from the Commonage Villas ( ). I stayed there for about a month while house-shopping, and I think it has some of the best views in Queenstown! Besides that location, every shot was less than a fifteen minute drive from my home.
What hardware tools did I use? With the exception of the Syrp Genie, I list out my hardware tools that I use on the site at
