Pretty fun except for the part where I couldn't find a place to stay so I wasn't as in the mood to spend the whole day there in the end.

It's been a long while since I've made a video and even been longer since we left the house, but after a roadtrip to Chiba I am back on track. It was quite the eventful day with BBQ, onsen, and a fresh sushi dinner.

Chiba is the capital city of Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It sits about 40 kilometers southeast of the center of Tokyo on Tokyo Bay. Chiba City became a government-designated city in 1992.
Chiba is famous for the Chiba Urban Monorail, the longest suspended monorail in the world. Some popular destinations in the city include: Kasori Shell Midden, the largest shellmound in the world at 134,000 m2 (160,000 sq yd), Inage Beach, the first artificial beach in the nation which forms part of the longest artificial beach in Japan, and the Chiba City Zoological Park, popular on account of the standing red panda Futa.

Surfing in Japan 03. Swells are only ideal here when they come from the south but today it came from the east. The reason we came here was to get away from the strong northernly winds and this is basically the only place that can shelter you from that kind of wind. Surf wasn’t good at all today as they were wide and closed out mostly and even if there was a good wave, too many people try to get it

This video was shot new years eve and new years day in Chiba Japan overnight camping trip at kujukuri beach. A great place to view a Japanese, land of the rising sun, sunrise. The camp I used my military pup tent and we cooked shrimp on the UCO flat pack grill. All in all it was a great winter camp in Japan. I love camping in Japan! My all time favorite activity. Camplife baby!

This is a video short from a quick trip to Chiba Japan beach, down at the coast. After dodging the rain on and off all afternoon, I managed to get the Mavic Air Drone out for a little while.

Kujukuri Beach, Pacific Ocean, Chiba Prefecture Japan
Kujukuri Beach is an approximately 60 km long stretch of uninterrupted sandy beach on the Pacific Coast in north-east Chiba Prefecture. A rarity in Japan where most of the coast is shaped by smaller bays.
There are no reefs out front and long, high Pacific waves crash right onto the beach. This makes Kujukuri a favorite spot for Tokyo surfers who can been seen riding the waves in all seasons.
A southern current keeps the sea relatively warm well into November, thus attracting many people looking for a swim in the ocean. The often strong winds draw many folks flying their kites.
Just a short walk away from the parking lots, however, and you can walk the beach in perfect solitude. The sand dunes lining the beach add to the melancholic feeling of walking alone along a seemingly endless stretch of windy beach.
