Japan Trip: Luxurious Hot Springs Bath Overlooking Beppu Bay at Tanayu, Suginoi Hotel, Beppu, Oita08
Visitors from all over Japan and abroad come to Beppu, located in Oita Prefecture, Kyushu, for the wonderful hot springs bath, or onsen. This city is blessed by eight different springs: Beppu, Kannawa, Myoban, Kankaiji, Hamawaki, Kamegawa, Horita and Shibaseki. Visitors can enjoy these hot springs at ryokans (inns) or public baths. With these eight natural hot springs flowing in the city, it is no wonder that Beppu produces more hot springs water than any other onsen (hot springs) resort in Japan.
In addition to the springs, Beppu offers its visitors a large of baths. Conventional hot springs bath, indoor and outdoor, can be found here. In addition, sand baths, steam baths and mud baths can be experienced here. Sand bathers are buried in naturally warm, almost blackish sand. Steam baths are baths that are heated from the hot springs’ steam. Mud baths are baths which use hot springs water which contain fine qualities of ore mud.
Within Beppu is the Suginoi Hotel, a very popular and famous hot springs ryokan (inn). Tanayu is the main hot springs facility here.
Tanayu has gender separated baths on five different tiers, offering a varity of different baths. From the outdoors bath, bathers can enjoy the panoramic view of the Beppu Bay. Nighttime bathers can enjoy the onsen under the starry Beppu sky.
In 2010, Aqua Garden, an onsen which can be enjoyed while in bathing suits opened next to Tanayu.
Daytime Hours: 9:00 to 23:00 (last entry at 21:30)
Daytime Admission Fee: 1500 yen (weekdays), 2000 yen (weekends)

Zao Onsen, located in Yamagata city in the northeastern region of Tohoku, is one of Japan’s most renowned mountain tourist destinations. Standing about 800 meters above sea level and among splendid mountains, this traditional hot spring village surrounded by nature boasts many hotels, restaurants and souvenir shops. Zao Onsen has a long history and is said to have been discovered in the year AD 110.
In winter, those surrounding mountains turn into slopes for the top-class Zao Onsen Ski Resort, renowned in Japan for its large scale. Another distinguishing feature of this resort village is the opportunity to get a view of the “ Snow Monsters”, trees coated with ice and snow that take on a surreal appearance, a rare winter phenomenon worldwide.

Hot Steamy Japanese Spas in Yunessun, Hakone | JAPAN 2/8 Banzski 036
Our first full day in Japan was supposed to start at 4 AM but was cut short since we had to wait for the JR office to open at 10 AM in Nagoya station. -_- Nevertheless, we were able to obtain it quickly, and before you know it, we were already at Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture over 275 KM away from our base at Nagoya.
We spent the day at Yunessun Hot Springs Resort and Spa which is famous for it's themed hot spas. I originally found out about the place a few years ago, when a Ramen Spa captured my imagination, but unfortunately, they don't have it anymore x[ But we went anyway to experience the place at least once!
Overall, Yunessun is like a water park but with hot water instead of cold, so it feels very relaxing to be in the water. Don't dip your head too much under hot water though cuz I heard it's bad for you. I probably shortened my life a bit from doing that to shoot this video. But it was still very relaxing.
Sorry this episode took so long to release, I started watching Attack on Titan, got carried away and finished season one and got caught up with season two in three days. I also started working on a new World War II documentary, set to be released before the end of the year. But the delay was mostly because of the anime (watching it for a future video idea). The next vlog episodes will come out much faster.

Atami is a city of Shizuoka Prefecture, located between Tokyo and Osaka. With more than 6 million Japanese tourists visiting Atami each year, it is renowned as a resort area to help city dwellers relax and unwind. Atami is conveniently located just 40 minutes by bullet train from Tokyo, enabling easy side trips from the capital. Attractions include the sea and mountains, numerous hot springs, mountain passes that provide stunning views of Mount Fuji, as well as the chance to sample sushi, expertly made from freshly caught fish. Atami City is well known as a gateway to Mount Fuji and the Izu Peninsula. The popular destination of Hakone is also within easy reach, accessible by a one hour bus trip. For sightseeing, the Izu Peninsula can be conveniently accessed by train.

A Japanese Bath House
Have a look at a traditional bath house in rural Japan. The Yuya Hot Springs (Yuya Onsen) in Shinshiro have a 1,200-year history. The waters are believed to cure many ailments. The architecture of the wooden bath house is splendid and full of details - it breathes Japanese history and tradition. Pay special attention to the glass etched door showing a beautiful half-naked, bathing woman.
