The second day of Suwa in Nagano.
I took onsen bath before breakfast, and, of course enjoyed a big breakfast Shinyu offered.
I took a tour which Shinyu offered, Suwa Taisha Meguri, the tour of Suwa grand shrine. As Suwa grand shrine is one of the oldest and famous shrines, I’ve learned many things.
And there is a famous festival, which is Onbashira festival. It’s known as one of the most dangerous festivals in the world!!!
I’ll share about many info in this video!

Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort Review | Simonthego
Tsugaike Kogen is one of the main ski resorts in the Hakuba Valley, popular with skiers and snowboarders due to its 12 metres of annual snowfall.
Tsugaike has an extended tree riding terrain called the DBD terrain. Access to this terrain is restricted to those who take a DBD course which is free and takes around 30 minutes to complete. Upon completion, you receive access to four gates that access the best terrain at the resort.

Nozawa Onsen Resor Ski di Perfektur Naganoi satu dari Resor Ski tertua di Jepang. Meskipun dibuka pada tahun 1924 namun tempat ini sama sekali tidk terlihat kuno. Resor ini memiliki lift yang berkecepatan tinggi, dua gondola/ kereta gantung, dan tentu saja berbagai macam tingkat kemiringan lereng!

Adventures in Japan-Goodbye hotel, Hello Shinjuku and Shibuya
Our two days in Tokyo was up. Before we had to leave for Chino, Nagano we ventured to Shinjuku and Shibuya for the day. My dream was to one day see Shibuya and i did. It was so much fun! Lots of walking to do than i wanted. I wanted to see more but we were on a tight schedule.

This was day one at the onsen. I love onsens/hot springs. It says hotel in the English name, but it is a 5 star resort. This is a view from one of the private onsen.
Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort Review | Simonthego
Hakuba Goryu is one of ten resorts covered on the Hakuba Valley Pass. Linked to Hakuba 47 and accessible by the free shuttle buses Goryu should definitely be a resort on your Hakuba hit list.
Goryu has some great pistes terrain and access to some fantastic tree skiing. However, if you want to access the trees at linked resort Hakuba 47 you will need to register at the 47 ski school and attend a short safety lecture.
Goryu offers 18 courses and has 14 lifts, some high-speed quads, and others older, slower chairs. Goryu also has lots to offer as a family destination as it has a run to suit the whole family.

Hakuba Norikura Ski Resort Review | Simonthego
Norikura was one out of nine resorts we visited in the Hakuba Valley and I really wish we'd had more time to spend there. It is probably the most authentic out of the Hakuba Resorts and doesn't have the big western influence found at the more popular Happo One. Linked to Cortina, Norikura offers great access to some world famous tree skiing, and is part of the Valley Pass which allows access to ten resorts.

Japan Culture: Travelling on a Budget, Japanese Culture Style! Minshuku Culture 05
Minshuku (民宿) are small, family operated, Japanese-style bed and breakfasts inns. Typically located around tourist areas such as hot springs, ski resorts and in the mountains, minshuku offer visitors a good opportunity to experience the traditional Japanese lifestyle. Visitors may also find many minshuku in smaller countryside towns or by the sea. A popular minshuku area is around the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Shirakawa-go and Gokayama where visitors can stay in historic traditional farmhouses.
The rate for a night at a minshuku varies, but the “general” range is between 5,000 and 10,000 yen per person per night. This usually includes a home-style dinner and breakfast. However, there are some minshuku which may serve only breakfast or offer no meals, at all. Minshuku tend to be small with just a few guest rooms. The amenities tend to be quite basic with a small television, a small table, a heater, a tea set and towels. Some older minshuku may not even have locks on room doors. Similar to a ryokan, the guestroom in a minshuku is usually the Japanese style tatami rooms with futon bedding to sleep on. During daytime, the futon are stored in a closet in the room. At night, visitors may need to take the futon out themselves and prepare the bedding like one would do at home.
In most minshuku, there is no private bath nor a toilet attached to the guestroom. Both the bathroom and toilet facilities are shared among the overnight guests. The bath is a typically Japanese-style bath, where visitors need to wash their bodies before entering the common bathtub. Meals are usually served in the common dining room.
