From downtown Zhongshan, I took a day trip a little more south to soak in the hot springs for a day. This is a very popular activity and Sanxiang is well known throughout the area for the great resorts. This day, i visited Quanyan Hot Springs which is one of the larger and better known resorts; quite enjoyable.

Theo and I visited the hot springs about 35 minute train ride from Kunming. If you're thinking of going, it's at the Huquan Ecological Park. You can get cheaper hotels if you go around the corner instead of going to the Huquan hotels.

On our last day in Chongqing we visited the old town of Ciqikou, also known as porcelain town, and soon escaped the crowded touristy part to the lesser visited and more authentic backstreets. As our bodies were extremely sore from hiking at Wulong County Geology Park the day before, we spent the afternoon relaxing at the Ronghui Hot Springs, before heading to Chongqing West railway station to catch our train back to Xi'an.
