First we visit the Irvine Regional Park where we learned about animals at the Orange County Zoo, rode a paddle boat and a surrey bike with Wheel Fun Rentals, and boarded a train with Irvine Park Railroads. Then we had lunch at The Pie Hole, browsed some antique shops, checked out the historic Watson's Soda Fountain, and viewed paintings at HIlbert Museum of California Art. And we concluded the day roller skating for the first time at Holiday Skate Center. YouTube had turned off our comments. If you want to reach us, please check out our Facebook page:

Rare foul flower spreads stench in Orange County, Southern California
The stench of blue cheese and dead bodies at a Southern California college is not repelling visitors but drawing them in. A huge, rare and famously putrid Indonesian flower is blooming this weekend, spreading its stench across Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa. The school said in a statement that the stench of the so-called corpse flower has been compared to rotting flesh, and the greenhouse where it's unfurling its blossom is open to members of the public who want to take a whiff. The flower uses flies instead of bees to spread its sticky pollen. It produces two sulfurous chemicals within its leaves that the flies find attractive. The plant at the college is about 5 feet tall and growing fast.
About the flower: Although the Titan Arum looks like a flower, it's technically an inflorescence, a group of flowers clustered around a central column known as a spadix and surrounded by a leafy structure called a spathe. Titan Arum, the world's largest inflorescence, goes by several names. Its Indonesian name is bunga bangkai, which translates into corpse flower. The plant's scientific name is Amorphophallus titanum, though this name comes from the plant's rather, uh, distinctive shape instead of its smell. Why does the corpse flower smell so terrible? To attract insects of course. Titan Arum is such a large plant that it can take a year or more for the plant to store enough energy to bloom (and even then, the plant can only sustain its bloom for a couple of days). Because Titan Arum plants are located so far apart from one another and bloom so infrequently, they need to attract as much insect attention as possible to ensure pollination. The corpse flower uses its smell to attract sweat bees and beetles looking for a prime location to lay their eggs. By crawling all over the plant, these insects play a vital role in pollinating the Titan Arum.

Orange County, California Tour Travel Guide
Orange County is a county in the U.S. state of California. As of the 2010 census, the population was 3,010,232[5] making it the third-most populous county in California, the sixth-most populous in the United States, and more populous than twenty-one U.S. states.[6] Its county seat is Santa Ana.[7] It is the second most densely populated county in the state, second only to San Francisco County.[8] The county's four largest cities, Anaheim, Santa Ana, Irvine, and Huntington Beach each have populations exceeding 200,000. Several of Orange County's cities are on the Pacific coast, including Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, and San Clemente.
Orange County is included in the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area. Thirty-four incorporated cities are located in the county; the newest is Aliso Viejo, which was incorporated in 2001. Anaheim was the first city, incorporated in 1870, when the region was still part of neighboring Los Angeles County. Whereas most population centers in the United States tend to be identified by a major city, there is no defined urban center in Orange County. It is mostly suburban except for some traditionally urban areas at the centers of the older cities of Anaheim, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Orange, and Santa Ana. There are several edge city-style developments such as Irvine Business Center, Newport Center, and South Coast Metro.

Irvine Regional Park E3, CA, arriving at the Orange County Zoo & petting area, scenes & images!
Happy Mother's Day! We step into the Zoo where there's plenty of things for kids to see and do. Channel's first vid in which text is added! Vid timeline:
(0:01) Arriving and Reptile area.
(2:06) Main Zoo area.
(5:51) Petting area.
Hopefully, the text ends up adding that bit of an educational touch to the vid. I would like to incorporate that into foodspotting vids as well, to make things easier for viewers I think.
