ORANGE EMPIRE RAILWAY MUSEUM PERRIS CALIFORNIA
Driving from Las Vegas to San Diego we stopped on the way at the Orange Empire Railway museum. It was definitely one of the best train museums I've ever been to. They had a lot of old streetcars all from California. I felt like I was transported back in time when I walked through these old trains. What a gem of a museum this place is and we enjoyed it quite a bit! I highly recommend you visit if you're in the area. Best part about it is it's free!

Santa Fe FP45 108 Unveiling at OERM 10-06-18
*Playing catch-up on uploads since my old editing software decided to bite the dust a few months ago.
Santa Fe 108, an EMD FP45 built in 1968, was unveiled last year at Orange Empire Railway Museum after a full restoration by the Diesel Shop to its as-delivered appearance. 108 hauled the El Capitan among other Santa Fe passenger trains until being converted to freight service until its retirement under BNSF.

Orange Empire Railway Museum - Steam and Streetcars
Some highlights from a few hours at the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, California, on 'Pumpkin Day' in October 2015. The noises made by the streetcars in particular are lovely and nostalgic. There is a lot to see there, so if you are in the area why not pay it a visit and help to keep the railway heritage alive ? See for more information.
Desert Rumble - SP U25B #3100 at Orange Empire Railway Museum
Southern Pacific U25B #3100 rolls along the OERM right-of-way in Perris, CA with a consist of ex-Montreal commuter cars and a UP caboose. I have been to this museum many times as a young kid growing up in southern California, and it had been many years since I had last visited, so it was nice to visit the museum again after so many years. SP #3100 had its worn-out livery refreshed a few years back, and I must say it looks great. The museum is home to some great pieces of equipment from the railroads that ran in the area, and is also home to a large collection of equipment from Pacific Electric and LA Railway. If you hear some chatter and music in the background, that is because the OERM was hosting the Rods and Rails car show that day.

Electrified Dinosaurs: Pacific Electric Days at the Orange Empire Railroad Museum
On June 18, 2016, I went to Pacific Electric Days at the Orange Empire Railroad Museum in Perris, Ca. The day was full of fun stuff to see. And at a vast location like the OERM, it was hard to decide what to film. The stars of the day were freight motor 1624, and the Pacific Electric Red Cars, also known as Blimps. Seeing and hearing working machines from around 100 years ago is truly a sight to behold. So sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Pacific Electric. Please Rate and comment, Thanx! :-)

Southern California Railway Museum Visit in Perris, CA
We visited the Southern California Railway Museum and got to experience a lot of the amenities they offer the public. They feature many different trains and electric rail cars. They restore and refurbish many of their collection. Definitely considered one of the few things to do in and around Perris, CA.
This we recorded around the Civil War Reenactment we attended on May 18th, 2019. Video of one of the battles can be found here.
Check out the Museum's Website and FB Page for new event updates!

Laws Railroad Museum And Historic Site Tour - Laws/Bishop California
This video takes us on a tour of the Laws Railroad Museum and Historic Site in Laws, California which is a few miles outside of Bishop, California.
The museum is free to enter and focuses on railroad and mining history. There are 11 acres of indoor and outdoor exhibits as well as a mock up of a mine and mill.
We visited for at least two hours with Ron Morefield, who gave us a great demonstration of a couple hit and miss engines, plus the history behind several more engines, that are there at the museum. There is also the original depot and the Slim Princess, a narrow gauge train that served the rail stop at Laws. It is a great museum that will take at least a few hours to explore.
Here are links to two related videos about the hit and miss engines.

A Day At The Tracks
Members of the Los Angeles Railroad Heritage Foundation, visit the Southern California Railway Museum in Perris California. Where a large assortment of vintage trolleys, locomotives, and rail equipment can be seen in various stages of restoration. On this day, we were treated with seeing both the newly restored Santa Fe and Union Pacific engines out in the sun together. Visitors can ride trains and trolleys all day, as well as explore several train barns bursting at the seams with rail equipment dating back over one hundred years.
Both the Los Angeles Railroad Heritage Foundation and the Southern California Railway Museum survive to keep our rail history alive, by memberships. Consider becoming a member of one or both organizations.
