Hi guys, here we are hiking in the Ordesa Valley(Valle de Ordesa/ Vall d'Ordesa), it’s a glacial valley in Aragon, in the Spanish Pyrenees which forms part of the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park. It was first discovered in 1820, but not mapped in detail until approximately the 1920s. The valley is about 11 kilometres (7 mi) long.
The valley's east–west orientation, unusual in the Pyrenees, opens it to influence from the Atlantic Ocean and gives it a moderate climate. It has one of Europe's largest populations of the Pyrenean Chamois and is well known for its waterfalls and wildlife.
Monte Perdido (3,355 m) is the third highest mountain in the Pyrenees and together with Cilindro de Marboré (3,328 m) and Soum de Ramond (3,263 m) can be seen at the north-east end of the valley. The name Monte Perdido (lost mountain) was given because the peak could not be seen from the French side of the range
El Valle de Ordesa está ubicado en el Pirineo central de Huesca, comarca del Sobrarbe, Aragón (España). Está catalogado como Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco.
Este valle originó la creación del Parque nacional de Ordesa el 16 de agosto de 1918. Años más tarde, en 1982, sería ampliado para crear el Parque nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido incluyendo el macizo de Monte Perdido, el Cañón de Añisclo, las Gargantas de Escuaín y la cabecera del Valle de Pineta.
En sentido amplio, el Valle de Ordesa comprende una amplia zona de pequeños valles y barrancos, altiplanicies y picos (muchos de más de 3000 m de altura), cuyos límites serían al norte la cresta Monte Perdido-Mondarruego, que sirve de frontera con Francia en gran parte, al sur la cresta Sierra Custodia-Acuta y al oeste la confluencia con la cabecera del Valle del Ara o valle de Bujaruelo. Todo este conjunto conforma una cuenca fluvial, que a través de valles secundarios y cascadas, desemboca en el Valle de Ordesa propiamente dicho, por cuyo fondo discurre el río Arazas.

EYNE valley HIKE in PYRENEES, France | Animal and flower paradise - Day 1

In today's video we are sharing with you Day 1 of our Eyne Valley to Vall de Nuria hike where we cross from France to Spain through the Pyrenees mountains. Eyne valley is known for its exceptional variety of flora and fauna in every time of the year and we were very excited to discover what it keeps for us in the spring time.

We planned to hike through the Eyne Valley, cross the mountains and get to Vall de Nuria in the evening. We weren't sure that we could do it in one day and it wasn't the goal. The morning was very fresh and cool and the lighting was absolutely beautiful with the first rays of sun beaming through the forest. Everything was just waking up and there were lots of crystal clear water drops hanging from the leaves and grass. When we got into the forest there was a misty atmosphere with all the water evaporating from the surface. First we went through the beautiful pine forest and then came out to the open green meadows where there were peacefully pasturing cows and horses. The landscape was so serene that it was hard to believe our own eyes. It was an idyllic and peaceful picture of horses pasturing free without any gates, bright green colours around and water flowing down the rocks. We met lots and lots of unique colourful flowers blossoming on the ground and bushes. While we were moving up the valley we were fortunate to meet some marmots as well which were behaving quite carelessly and we assumed that they might have been babies born this year. So we absolutely can recommend this hike for everybody who loves natural untouched secluded places with rich variety of flora and fauna and lots of potential for great photos. This is a wonderful place to unwind and to be at peace. The path itself was relatively easy all the way through with no steep uphills and only when we got at the foot of the mountain range the path was starting to become harder but nothing extreme either. It was a very happy moment when we climbed to the top and saw Vall de Nuria on the Spanish side. The views were incredible from all the sides. So we had our lunch break there at the top and were ready to go downhill to Vall de Nuria...

Dive Plan:
Surface swim out, descend on spire. Explore the church building and surrounding area. Ascend on spire, then return with surface swim. Turn at 60 bar or 60 mins.

Description:
This is an inland altitude dive site. The main attraction is a Church with the spire rising above the water surface, it is possible to surface swim approx 300m (variable) out to the spire then dive the ruins of the church and what remains of the nearby buildings and cemetery.
• Water Temp - Averages 6-7 degree celsius.
• Visibility - Normally poor, 2m or less.
• Elevation - The dive site sits at approx 520m above sea level.

Additional Info:
There is plenty of parking next to the dive base. It is approx 100m from the car park to the waters edge. Although this can vary vastly depending on water level in the reservoir.
There are BBQ and WC facilities next to the car park. There is also a sailing club nearby and a small bar/restaurant in the nearby town.

Hiking at Ordesa National Park (July 2018)

During the weekend we decided to travel to Huesca and camp at Torla village and hike at Ordesa National Park. Nudging the French border , Ordesa is Spain’s joint oldest national park (created in 1918 with Picos de Europa but also one of the least well known. The 3,355m Monte Perdido (Lost Mountain) looms over dramatic glacial valleys up to 3km deep. In its 156 sq km you’ll find hikes for every level, including paths along natural ledges in the limestone just a metre wide. Most popular hikes begin at Pradera de Ordesa including the Circo de Cotatuero, a six-hour circuit to a thundering waterfall (there’s also a shorter walk). There’s exhilarating rafting (€52pp) just a few kilometres south of the park in Torla which has a comprehensive visitors’ information centre.
