Creek Hiking at Sheepskin Hollow State Nature Preserve | Columbiana County, OH
Sheepskin Hollow State Nature Preserve is situated on the Ohio side of the Ohio-Pennsylvania border in Columbiana, OH, about 13 miles north of East Liverpool, OH, and 10 miles Southwest of Darlington, PA. Unlike many other State Nature Preserves in Ohio, Sheepskin Hollow has no official or marked trails. It is akin to a wilderness area more than it is a park. Its 468 acres are open to the public to explore. The highlights of the Preserve are the North Fork Little Beaver Creek and the deep hollows containing creek tributaries and surrounded by steep Appalachian Foothills on either side. The hollows are filled with rocky, wet, wild terrain, and pristine forests filled with an abundance of hemlocks.
The various hollows are accessible as offshoots from a now defunct railroad line. Getting to the hollows requires a steep climb from the railroad. After this, the hikes will consist of rock scrambles/and or creek hiking. The hike depicted in this video consists of a visit to a remote waterfall approximately 1 mile from the railroad, as detailed by Natural Ohio Adventures:
For more information about Sheepskin Hollow State Nature Preserve, visit the Ohio Department of Natural Resources site:
Since there are no marked trails, there is no proper trailhead for the hike depicted in this video. However, the approximate location of the railroad can be found here, via Google Maps:

► Vail Skiing & Snowboarding
Vail's ski resort is the one of the largest and most beautiful resorts in the world. There are over 190 runs in total, and in 2 days we were able to explore 20-30 of them. We could have stayed for a month and not gone down every run! There is an awesome mix of easy runs for beginners and challenging runs for you experts out there. The entire front side of the mountain is incredible, there are 2 huge gondolas that take you halfway up, and chairlifts that take you every which way to any part of the mountain you want to go to. From the peaks, you can hit Vail's legendary back bowls on the backside of the mountain. These are more challenging than the front side, but are SO SO fun and offer stunning views. The BEST place in Vail, however, is Blue Sky Basin, which is set back from the back bowls. At Blue Sky Basin the runs are wide open and give you room to roam your way down the slopes. Skiing Vail was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!
► Exploring Vail Village
Vail Village is the awesome town located at the base of the mountain. The village is a long stretch of quaint coffee shops, awesome restaurants, beautiful resorts, and great shops! If you want to go shopping for an awesome new set of winter gear, a gift for family or friends, or really anything else, Vail Village is a perfect place to be. And it is SO cute! We could have walked around this town for days and not grown tired of it, especially when the holiday decorations are up. The lights are all brightly lit, there is a layer of white snow on the trees, and everyone has a smile on their face.
► Skiing & Snowboarding
Beaver Creek's ski area is smaller than Vail's, but it is every bit as wonderful. The view on a clear day from the top of Beaver Creek is jaw-dropping, and the runs are every bit as fun as any we've ever done! And on top of that, there is an awesome little terrain park. We are by no means experts, and found the smaller jumps to be just our size. We were left in awe at the awesome ski runs and all the fun we had skiing Beaver Creek.
► Beaver Creek New Years Eve
On New Years Eve there is an awesome light show in Beaver Creek where anyone can ski down with glow sticks tied to their bodies or their helmets, putting on an awesome show for everyone at the base of the mountain! On top of that, the ski instructors ski down with lit torches in a choreographed row of fire! The night finishes up with an incredible fireworks display from the ice rink at the center of the village, this is an absolutely perfect way to ring in a new year!
Hi, we are Julie & Zach, a couple who sold everything in 2018 and took off an adventure around the world! So far, this journey has taken us in a van ALL ACROSS the United States and Canada, from snorkeling with manatees in Florida to camping in the Grand Canyon to climbing glaciers in Canada, and everything in between! We were both working and going to school while living in Chicago in 2017 and 2018, and to be honest it really wore on us. We were exhausted, unfulfilled, and ready for an adventure. So, we made it happen! We saved up AS MUCH as we could over those 2 years - all homemade meals, no shopping, walk or bike everywhere, etc - and sold almost all of our belongings! With that money, we bought a renovated a van that we have been living in ever since! We started our YouTube channel a few weeks ago and have been loving creating videos! When we started, we were SO SO SO SO bad at it, and to be honest we still kinda suck, but we want to get better!
We believe that travel is truly a life-changing experience, it certainly changed ours! When you get out of your everyday world and experience new cultures, foods, places, people, sights, sounds, and take an adventure, you grow as a person and you become a better version of yourself! You are WAY stronger than you know, and stronger than you give yourself credit for. You have the ability to do anything, so make it happen! BE FOREVER FREE!

Hike to Abiqua Falls in Oregon - Waterfall of my Dreams
Yesterday I faced a choice between going on a hike to Abiqua Falls with friends, or shooting a basketball from half court at the gym I joined for a chance to win $10,000 USD. Even though I am a pretty good shot (not that I like basketball), it may surprise some of you that I am extremely grateful I decided to go on this hike instead.
The waterfall at Abiqua Falls is priceless, and certainly worth more than any amount of fiat currency. This waterfall and the cove in which the fall resides is something I remember from my dreams and previous lives. The area is too familiar to me, and I know I have been here before. The rocks that stretch down from the hilltops look like rectangular stalactites, combined with the moss and mist - its indescribable.
In the first part of the video, I thought we started at the trailhead, however we actually had to hike about a mile and a half down the road first to get to the start of the trail. The hike down through this majikal forest of moss and ferns was unbelievable, and definitely my kind of woods.
The sun was shining bright on us this day, in a time of my life where I am faced with difficult conversations of truth, and doing my best to find answers with honor AND love. My transformation is far from complete, and in being honest and honorable, I struggle with knowing the right thing to do. This place did not grant me any clear answers, as those answers reside within me, but did remind me once again of WHO I AM.
Be true to our heart, ourselves, our tribe, and be true to our honor. Somewhere in the midst off all that, the answer we are seeking is surfacing, with a profound secret of divine wisdom and love to be learned. Waterfalls are a perfect medicine for hurting hearts - and something every human should be experiencing.
There was not one spec of trash anywhere on this hike, the road before the trailhead, or anywhere in the waterfall cove. This is a sacred natural sanctuary, and it makes me happy to see all Oegonians treating it with the respect it deserves. I said a prayer here and gave thanks for everything. Enjoy the following video of our adventure, this is the first time I have ever used my GoPro head-strap, and i fast-forwarded the hike itself for a shorter video. Music includes the unmastered version of my upcoming track *Shift the Focus*, a beat by a producer that recently ripped me off (might as well), and the custom #TribeVibes beat from *Totem* for our upcoming mixtape.
P.S. - the hike back up is far harder than going, prepare for this in your journey.

Since the late 1990s the city has been experiencing a surge in growth and expansion in the residential sector. A number of business franchises have located in Molalla since 2000. In 2005, Molalla installed its first stoplight, at the intersection of Oregon Route 211 and Oregon Route 213, because of the traffic brought by the increased business activity.
Molalla is located in the foothills of the Cascade Range, near the Mount Hood National Forest, south of Oregon City and 13 miles from Interstate 5. Crater Lake National Park - Day 1
► Cleetwood Cove
Cleetwood Cove is one of the best hikes in the park, and is certainly a must-do. Cleetwood Cove is the only trail that takes you straight down to the shore of Crater Lake, and you can even dive in and go for a swim if you'd like to! Crater Lake looks so clean and pure from the shore, do yourself a favor and hike Cleetwood Cove during your visit to Crater Lake National Park.
► Mount Scott
Mount Scott is the highest point in all of Crater Lake National Park. So you'll first head to the base of the lake at Cleetwood Cove, then get a bird's eye view at Mount Scott! This is a fantastic hike, and gives you the chance to see a full panorama of the beauty of the entire park. Mount Scott is a must.
Crater Lake National Park - Day 2
► Garfield Peak
While Garfield Peak is a tad smaller than Mount Scott, the view is arguably better. Garfield Peak is situated right on top of Crater Lake, so the view from the peak is absolutely gorgeous, there is not a better one in the entire park. On the way to Garfield Peak, you'll see Phantom Ship Island, which is a must-see, as this eerily looks like an old sailing ship!
► Watchman Peak
The Watchman Peak is our final stop, and this one is fantastic for a few reasons. First off, it is low effort, high reward. After 2 full days of hiking, you may be ready for a nice easy hike, and Watchman Peak is the one for you. Under a mile each way, this offers stunning views of the entire lake and Wizard Island. Wizard Island is the largest and most magnificent of Crater Lake's islands, and is stunning to view from Watchman Peak. Also, Watchman Peak offers the chance to learn about the landscape and history of Crater Lake on the many informational signs posted at the top.
Also while in Crater Lake National Park, stop at the visitor center and check out the free 30 minute video on how Crater Lake was created. Mount Mazama, formerly one of the tallest peaks in Oregon, collapsed into an enormous caldera, and over thousands of years rain and snow fell into the huge bowl. This caused water levels to rise and rise to the levels they are today! Still, no streams enter or leave Crater Lake, making the lake completely still and perfectly clear!
