Virgil's VLOG: MIRACLE! Sprained Ankle Fixed: CHINESE TRADITIONAL WAY
This is the most painful event I have ever encountered in my entire life. Nothing even comes close to this. I don't wish this on my 2nd worst enemy.
My friend asked what kind of doctor: Western or Chinese? I said western until he told me he know this doctor that is an ex kung fu master which fixed his dislocated ankle a couple years ago. Im walking now but next time I think ill just go for a brace and crutches and be down for a month. The pain was absolutely unbearable.
This video was from yesterday. Can you believe I can now stand and take a piss, stand and shower, hell I just got back from shopping as I had nothing in my home to eat while I was stuck to my bed for 4 days. Absolutely Amazing!

1. Singapore has a building inspired by a Star Wars robot
Yes, you read that right. It wasn’t just a nerdy architect having a laugh, either. ‘The Sandcrawler’, which was named after its on-screen counterpart, looks similarly ready to shudder across the sands of Tatooine in search of droids for scrap.
First opened in 2013, the building now houses Lucasfilm Ltd.’s Asia offices, and is a ‘state-of-the-art complex housing animation offices and ILM Singapore.’ If you’re a Star Wars fan, this could be another great reason for you to study abroad in Singapore – your chance to see the mighty Sandcrawler in person!
2. There are over 1,600 temples in Kyoto, Japan
Are you hoping to study in Japan? Be sure to check out ancient Kyoto, which was the country’s imperial capital for more than a thousand years. Kyoto is home to 1.5 million people, who live alongside the city’s many heritage sites and historical buildings.
The ‘Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto’ are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with the Kennin-ji temple often regarded as the oldest temple. It was built in 1202 CE, and is home to the final resting place of Eisai, the monk who is thought to have brought Zen Buddhism to Japan.
3. Hong Kong means ‘fragrant harbor’
This might be even more of a surprising fact for anyone who’s visited the modern-day city! Hong Kong’s transition from a colonial outpost to a busy port, and finally the global financial center it is today, may have replaced its previously pleasant scent with more industrial, modern city aromas… but it nevertheless remains a popular study abroad destination among those looking to study in Asia.
With its unique history and culture, ‘Asia’s world city’ is ranked as the world’s number five city for students in the QS Best Student Cities 2015 – it is Asia’s highest ranking entry.
4. China produces 45 billion pairs of chopsticks each year
OK, so there are a lot of people in China – but that’s still a pretty large number! In addition to the nation’s own chopstick production industry, some Chinese restaurants now import chopsticks made by US producers, who often use a lighter wood that doesn’t need to be bleached.
When travelling to Asia, be sure to brush up on your chopstick etiquette. Be aware that it is considered bad manners to tap your chopsticks on the side of your bowl, and pointing your rested chopsticks at fellow diners is downright rude!
5. South Korea has a separate Valentine’s Day for single people
In many Western cultures, Valentine’s Day (14 February) tends to be dominated by loved-up couples who buy each other gifts. But in South Korea, the celebration is slightly different. February 14th is just one of 12 ‘love days’, which are celebrated on the 14th of each month.
In South Korea, February’s Valentine’s Day sees women give chocolates to men as a sign of affection. A month later, on 14 March, White Day is celebrated, when men traditionally reciprocate with another gift.
If you didn’t receive any gifts at all, then fear not: there’s a day for you too! April 14th is an unofficial holiday known as Black Day, and is a day for unhitched singles to get together and grumble over a bowl of jajangmyeon, the black noodle dish that gives the day its name.
6. There are more than 150 volcanoes in Indonesia
Indonesia is located on the boundary of the pacific plate – an area known as the ‘Ring of Fire’. With 127 of the country’s volcanoes currently active, it’s easy to see how it got this name!
Indonesia’s most active volcano is Mount Merapi (pictured above), on the island of Java. It typically erupts every two to three years, with larger eruptions every decade or so. A particularly large eruption in 1006 is said to have left the entire island blanketed in ash.
7. Japan has produced 22 Nobel Laureates
That’s more per capita than any other Asian country! Japan has long enjoyed a proud reputation as a technological, cultural and artistic powerhouse, which started long before the country’s first Nobel Prize was won by Hideki Yukawa in 1949.
Yukawa worked at Kyoto Imperial University as a theoretical physicist. He won the Nobel Prize for his work on subatomic particles, and went on to win countless awards in Japan and beyond, including the prestigious Lomonosov Gold Medal in 1964.

Religion and Medicine in East Asian Traditions: China, Japan, Korea
This short lecture provides an overview of some of the connections between the development of medicine in China, Japan, and Korea and the popular philosophies and religions of those countries (particularly Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism). It is focused on the pre-modern era, as that’s when these relationships were formed and when they were at their strongest.

HONG KONG WALKING TOUR IN CENTRAL (ULTRA HD 4K) - MANDARIN ORIENTAL HOTEL |香港文華東方酒店
#mandarinoriental #hongkong
Welcome to Hong Kong Walking Tour (shot in Ultra HD 4K) crystal clear quality. The walk begins in Mandarin Oriental Hotel, in Central, then onto Alexandra House, Chater House then onto the walkway that is linked to IFC. Most office buildings in Central are conveniently linked by walkways.
'Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong (Chinese: 香港文華東方酒店) is a five-star hotel located on Connaught Road in Central, Hong Kong, owned and managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. The hotel opened in 1963 as The Mandarin. In 2005, the hotel spent USD 150 million to renovate its 501 guestrooms, 10 restaurants, and numerous public spaces, as well as to construct the three-storey Mandarin Spa, one of a few Forbes Five-Star spas in Hong Kong.[2][3]
2005 renovation
The Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong has been noted for its interior decoration.[5] In 2005, authorisation was given for a total renovation of the hotel, and when it closed in December of that year the trading floor of the stock exchange held a mock two-minute silence in memory of the hotel. For the interim period during its renovation phase, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group launched an all-new property, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, located in The Landmark commercial and shopping complex only a five-minute walk away, in order to continue accommodating guests without interruption. The Landmark remained open following the renovation, but maintains a distinctly more modern interior aesthetic to distinguish it from the original property.[9] After a USD 150 million renovation, Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong re-opened its doors on 28 September 2006, marking the event with a black-tie gala hosted by Dame Edna Everage with a performance by Bryan Ferry.[5] The renowned lobby, Captain's Bar, The Clipper Lounge, and Chinnery Bar remained recognisable after the renovation, but the remaining restaurants, bars, public spaces, and rooms were entirely new.[3]
The hotel contains 501 guestrooms, 67 of which are suites, overlooking Victoria Harbour and the surrounding cityscape. Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong operates ten restaurants and bars, including the Michelin-starred Pierre, Chef Pierre Gagnaire's first restaurant in Hong Kong.[10][11] Additional facilities include the three-story Mandarin Spa, indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, Mandarin Salon, and event space to accommodate functions of up to 600 people.[4]
The Mandarin Spa
The Mandarin Spa, opened in 2007, encompasses 2,100 m2 (23,000 sq ft) across three stories and incorporates an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, holistic spa, Mandarin Salon, and Mandarin Barber. The spa draws on the established Asian healing philosophies of traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda. Additional features include an ice fountain, Chinese herb steam rooms, hydrotherapy, and the Kneipp pool.[2][12]

Esoteric Buddhism and Vajrayāna in China
Third International Conference on Vajrayāna Buddhism, 19-20 April 2019
The Third International Conference on Vajrayāna Buddhism was held from 19 to 20 April 2019, at Zhichenkhar, Thimphu, Bhutan.
The conference was organised by The Centre for Bhutan & GNH Studies and The Central Monastic Body.
Vajrayāna Buddhism is often referred to as the “Path of Skillful Methods” in reference to its diversity of means for realising enlightenment in a single lifetime. The theme for the Third Vajrayāna Conference was thus “Techniques in Vajrayāna Buddhism”.
The conference sought to identify the characteristics of Vajrayāna Buddhism that distinguish it from other modes of Buddhist practice. The conference explored the diverse ways in which the techniques of Vajrayāna Buddhism could be adapted and made relevant to a modern, transcultural, scientifically driven, and environmentally challenged world.

Yokohama CHINATOWN [with food bonus and Chinese temples]
Italian version:
Yokohama Chukagai (横浜中華街) or Yokohama Chinatown is the biggest in Japan and among the biggest in Asia. From Tokyo Shibuya stn is possible to reach Yokohama Chinatown in about 30min. Chinatown is full of restaurants, eateries, food stalls, shops , antique shops, souvenir shops but it is best known for its food. You can eat in a fine restaurant or take something from a stall. There are many things to try. My suggestions are: Age UFO and Harinezumi man....but take a walk and find yourself what you like best!!
In Yokohama Chinatown there are two famous temples: Konkibyo Temple, built in 1873), dedicated to the Chinese deity of good business and prosperity and Masobyo Temple, built in 2006, which is a Taoist Temple.
