Season 1 Episode 01 - Maine Outdoors with Don Kleiner - JourneyMaineTV
Master Maine guide Don Kleiner, talks to JourneyMaineTV about his business, Maine Outdoors, a guide service providing exciting outdoor Maine adventures!
It all started years ago, before I even realized the idea.
Then one day back in November 2009, the final version of JourneyMaineTV was conceived, and created. Not knowing the exact way to get going, I decided I would consult cyberspace for our first guinea pig, and out went the twitter post. Two minutes later, I was planning my first shoot with master guide Don Kleiner, owner of Maine Outdoors, a guide service that supplies you with all the equipment, knowledge, and support to have an exciting outdoor Maine adventure.
Perfect! This is what JourneyMaineTV is supposed to be all about!
One of Dons many specialties is fall fishing, so he planned out an afternoon trip for myself, and JourneyMaineTV co-creator, Carole Piasecki, on Megunticook Lake in Camden. It was certainly the perfect time for some fishing, as the video will prove, but I even had a revelation of my own that I was not expecting. I always thought that a planned guided tour was exactly that, planned and guided 100% by the person in charge. Yet that was not the case with Don. Once he had given a quick tutorial on technique and tactic, Carole and I were actually guiding our own experience. When youre with a guide, he said, you get to do whatever it is you want to do. I couldnt have said it better, Don.
Maine Outdoors is what experiencing this state is all about. Whether it be a fishing trip, snowshoeing, or canoeing, Don Kleiner will provide you with the basics to create a truly memorable trip. Enjoy our first episode post, and head on over to the Maine Outdoors website at maineoutdoors.biz to learn more about this one of a kind Maine experience.
JourneyMaineTV, your first stop when looking into what to do in Maine, where to stay in Maine, and the people that make Maine such a great place to visit!
