This is Japan’s first museum constructed to focus on the theme of the history and culture of living. On display are an Edo Era townscape recreated in full scale and modern Osaka based on models and documents. In the popular“KIMONO”experience, you can try on a kimono and take a photo with an Edo Era streetscape behind you.

15 Min Walk From Osaka JR Station.
When you don't have time to go to Kyoto, I highly recommend you to visit this museum. You can take many pictures there with old homes and most attractively you can wear kimono to tune into the background.

Osaka Museum of Housing and Living: Before opening
Why don't you travel back in time to the town of Osaka in the Edo era?
Japan's first specialized museum with the theme of “the culture and history of housing as well as living”. The “Seasonal chronical of a Naniwa townhouse” located in the 9th floor exhibition hall is a life-size recreation of an Osaka townscape in the first years of Tempo (first half of the 1830s) during the Edo period.

This is the first attraction I visited in my tour to Osaka in the period of Christmas & New Year Holidays of 2015-2016. It was a nice tour. Although I am a lazy guy but I still would like to make videos to keep my lovely memories of this tour.
