Naomichi was born on August 1988 in Tokyo Japan. He started to practice Japnaese classical dance at the age of 12 under a Bando-Ryu teacher. Around the same time,he also learned to play a 3 string guitar, known as the Thugaru Shamisen. At the age of 17, he became an accredited master (Natori) and was named Bando Tsutanoryu, and formed a group called kabuto. All striving for the same goal,Naomichi and his members started to travel and perform together. Naomichi's dances became very original and unique. Although he learned and started with Japanese classical dance (Kabuki Style), he wanted to look for and create his own style of dancing, which could appeal to many people. This task became his alternate goal through out his career. At the age of 20, his first independent performance in Tokyo was a big success. Since then, Naomichi has received attention from various circles of people for his new style of dancing and stage presence. To name a few performance in Japan: • Nakano Sun Plaza theater in Tokyo • Mitsukoshi theater in Tokyo • Meijiza theater in Tokyo • Shin-Kabukiza theater in Osaka with Miyuki Kawanaka (singer) • Performed with Dewi Sukarno
In overseas: France, Korea, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles Last year, Naomichi put on an independent performance in Los Angeles where he headlined the entiere show. In the same year he was asked to be the “main guest” at Japan Festival held in Las Vegas where approximately 20,000 people came to watch him at the Rio Hotel.
