Pilot Whales - Oshan Whale Watch from Bay St. Lawrence, Nova Scotia
We joined Captain Fraser for a half day excursion in July. We were treated with close up viewing of a pod of pilot whales. Unfortunately we didn't see any of the larger whales that are common in the area. Oshan Whale Watch operates out of Bay St. Lawrence which is a tiny fishing village at the very top of Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia Canada.

Bay St. Lawrence on Cape Breton Island Nova Scotia
At the northern tip of Cape Breton lies the small fishing village of Bay St. Lawrence. We spent about a week exploring the Cabot Trail of Cape Breton, but Bay St. Lawrence was our base. We were fortunate enough to be there for the Fish Derby and the Snow Crab Festival which is quite popular on Cape Breton. Most of all we enjoyed the breathtaking views and scenery of the highlands of Nova Scotia.
