Ninja-theme Village that allows a view of a World Heritage, Mt. Fuji Oshino Ninja Village
「Oshino Ninja Village」is a newly opened Ninja-theme park located in Oshino Village in Yamanashi prefecture!
From「Oshino Ninja Village」, you can have a spectacular view of a world heritage, Mt. Fuji. The park is surrounded by beautiful gardens. I was intrigued to see cherry blossoms in the gardens in spring.
The park let you play like a real ninja! They have fun facilities such as Trick House where you need to clear traps to proceed, and Shuriken Dojo where you can try throwing shuriken blades. You can even rent a ninja costume!
As for lunch, I enjoyed soba noodles, Oshino tofu, and dishes cooked with fresh river fish and local vegetables. The soba was so good… and I had a clear view of Mt. Fuji from the restaurant too!
I also loved stopping by「Fujimi Saryo」 for little sweet dumplings, and taking a nice rest at「Foot Bath」.
The souvenir shop had so many items. Surrounded by little goods made with Japanese traditional crepe cloths and beautiful fans, I had hard time deciding what to take home with me.
In the neighborhood of「Oshino Ninja Village」, you can also find other popular spots such as「Oshino Hakkai」and 「Fuji Goko」, a site of five lakes.
The park offers an exciting and new style of Japanese entertainment. You should visit when you come to Japan!

Fun-at-the-Ninja-Park-in-Japan
So Ryosuke and I went to the Iga Ninja Village in Mie Prefecture recently. It was basically a day of randomness and fake ninja poses with small children.
I looooooooved how friendly all the other tourists were - and how into ninja stuff the locals were. Wearing ninja costumes and parading around SHOULD have been incredibly embarrassing... but it wasn't, because everyone else was too. We got stopped half a dozen times by little old ladies who wanted to share their ninja knowledge with us or tell us the history of the town.
If you're interested in going, here's the (English) website:

Togakushi Kids Ninja Village in Japan
The Togakushi Ninja Village in the Nagano Prefecture of Japan is a kid-centric tourist stop aimed mostly at the young, but with a few things to entertain the adults.
The Ninja House is killer, letting you see all the ways the ninja could hide in their own home, evade attackers and escape through secret rooms. And then there's the shuriken throwing range. The museum is also cool, and a quick walk through shows myriad weapons and tools used to conceal their deadly power.
For the kids, there are climbing walls and other small activities geared towards those 10 and under. But across the street is a beautiful trail leading to temples and massive trees. Very much worth a quick visit, then head to the nearby Soba noodle house (make a reservation, it's popular!) for lunch.

The Koka Ninja Village (甲賀の里忍術村, Kōka no Sato Ninjutsumura) is one of Koka City's ninja-related attractions, along with the Ninja Mansion. The village is remote, rural and has a somewhat rundown compound housing a collection of old dwellings in a forest. In one of the houses, a staff demonstration is given to illustrate its various trapdoors and hidden compartments.
Other interesting features at the village include a shuriken (throwing star) throwing range and a nine stage obstacle course in which one can, for example, try to walk on water or scale walls with tools devised by the ninja(called Mizugumo, meaning water spider ). There is also a simple museum at the village displaying various manuals and tools utilized by the Koka Ninja in the past.
