SWIMMING WITH WHALE SHARKS OSLOB CEBU PHILIPPINES | GO PRO 7
Watch in HD! We woke up early to swim with the largest fish in the world! Snorkeling and swimming with Whale Sharks in Oslob Philippines was an unforgettable day. The Whale Shark is the world's largest fish and we were so able to swim next to several of these beautiful beasts in Oslob, Philippines. Oslob is 2-3 hours south from Cebu City and can be reached by bus. We heard it's best to snorkel with the whale sharks in the early morning (6 AM). It cost 1100 pesos for Foreigners and 500 pesos if you're a Filipino. Almost every dive resort in Oslob offers the trip. Included is snorkel gear, a life vest and a lesson before on how to behave next to these giant animals. It was an unforgettable experience getting so close (but don't touch!) to the gentle whale sharks, they are such beautiful creatures.
After swimming with the Whale Sharks we went to the local market in Oslob to find lunch and found beautiful Filipino food and Filipino people.
Most of the vlog is filmed on the GoPro 7:

OSLOB, Philippines- Is there MORE than WHALE SHARKS? Philippines Vlog
#Oslob #Philippines #WhaleSharks
Oslob, Philippines was quite the adventure! We wanted to find out if this town offered more than the whale sharks. Well it did:) We took a boat ride from Oslob over to Sumilon Island and it was beautiful. It is always exciting when taking boat tours because they have the most creative ways of getting on and off the boats. Either you walk from boat to boat as a way to the shore or different size planks-they always seem to get smaller and smaller-YIKES! The boat ride itself was a little sketchy but we made it in one piece. We did the whale shark tour and got to experience these amazing creatures they are serious gentle giants. We have a video that we did of just the whale shark tour-we would not do that tour again though since they are feeding the whale sharks. These beautiful babies should be feeding themselves in the ocean and not used as a tourist attraction:( There is definitely controversy surrounding these tours.
As we explored the town of Oslob we walked through the market and saw the various types of food they had. Some were intestines wrapped on a skewer or chicken feet. Being vegetarian, it wasn't something we would eat but interesting none the less. It turned out that 7-11 was the absolute hot spot. Even the owner of the hotel was there with her family. It was bustling and obviously where we needed to be. Who knows how much we spent on snacks and stuff in 7-11 it was hysterical! Overall Oslob was a cute sleepy town, Sumilon Island was really cool and definitely an Instagram photo shoot waiting to happen!
After Oslob, we headed out to Panglao Island, Bohol- we decided to take the fastest route which was not really the recommended way. It cut the travel time in half so we tried it-kinda scary but we survived!
Me met Jena who was unbelievable, she helped us out with our boat ride and actually helped us get there (carrying Ryder) and waited with us until we got on the boat! Such an absolute sweetheart! We are still in contact today:)

OSLOB WHALE SHARKS REAL TALK | SUMILON ISLAND SANDBAR | PHILIPPINES
Oslob and Sumilon island are awesome! The Whale Sharks are definitely a cool experience and the Whale Sharks are amazing animals and so peaceful, just make sure you do your research on it so you know what to expect when you get there as it is VERY touristy and the whale sharks are very tame so do get kicked by people swimming. If you are not a confident swimmer and think you will also kick them you do have the option of observing them from the boat.
Sumilon Island is about 1 km off the coast of Cebu next to Oslob, it is an amazing island aswell! The only thing to check before is the tide, you only have a small window to catch the gorgeous sandbar that reveals itself at low tide!

Snorkeling with Whale Sharks in Oslob Philippines
An unforgettable day, swimming with the whale sharks in Oslob, Philippines. Oslob is 2-3 hours south from Cebu City and can be reached by bus. We left Cebu at night time as we heard it's best to snorkel with the whale sharks in the early morning (6 AM).
Snorkeling with the whale sharks cost about PHP1000 (~USD22), almost every dive resort in Oslob offers the trip. Included is snorkel gear, a life vest (that nobody wore) and a lesson before on how to behave next to these giant animals.
It was an unforgettable experience getting so close (but don't touch!) to the gentle whale sharks, they are such beautiful creatures.

Oslob, Cebu Philippines: Whalesharks and Waterfalls (Aguinid Falls)
Oslob, Cebu Philippines was a great place to check out. We unfortunately only had one day to spend here, but we made every second count. We woke up before the sun rose so that we could make sure we were able to go see the whale sharks of Oslob. We were not disappointed. There were whale sharks of all sizes, it was really an incredible experience. After chillin with the whale sharks, we headed up to Aguinid falls to chase some waterfalls. We were in a large group so we weren't able to explore all six waterfalls at aguinid, but we we were able to see three of the six. The falls were really beautiful, and it was a lot of fun climbing up the waterfalls!
WHY I WON'T SWIM WITH WHALE SHARKS IN OSLOB, PHILIPPINES
After a little research I decided I will not be supporting the activity of swimming with the whale sharks in OSlob, Philippines for a few different reasons.

ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE.
How to get there:
Fly to Dumagete - Boat to Summon Island (Blue Water Sumilon)
Stay in Blue Water Sumilon because they have a boat shuttle for free that takes you to Tanawan and from there you take a 5 min car ride to Bangcogon and that’s where you see the Whale Sharks.
Tips:
GO EARLY!
No sunblock - apparently there’s a chemical in the sunblock that affects the whale sharks
Bring an underwater camera - if you don’t have one you can rent for Php 550
Thank you Blue Water Sumilon for the trip!

Hi guys,
Please enjoy our Vlogs in the Philippines with my Australian husband Jordan.
I hope you enjoy our video of the Oslob Whale sharks and if you are looking at doing it I hope it gave you a bit of an idea what it would be like, we are sorry that there isn't too much footage of the whale sharks as the water was quite rough on the day.

The one with the Whale Sharks - Oslob, Philippines
Hello Youtube! It's been a long while. I am trying to get back to producing content and this would be my first vlog! My best friend, Yhan, got married a month ago in Cebu and the whole entourage crew decided to go around for an adventure. It was our first time in the city and we've heard amazing stories about Oslob and Kawasan Falls, so we decided, even with only 3 hours of sleep, to go ahead and discover God's beautiful works.
I would like to think of myself as a mermaid so imagine my excitement when I knew we would be able to swim with the whale sharks! We tried our best to keep a distance but they didn't really care about the people around. Nevertheless, when you get the opportunity to meet these amazing sharks, please make sure you respect the rules (they will give you a short brief/set of instructions before you ride the boat).

SWIMMING WITH WHALE SHARKS // OSLOB, PHILIPPINES
Swimming with the whale sharks of Oslob is one of the most amazing experiences the Philippines has to offer, and one of the best overall experiences I had while creating this Philippines travel video series.
The small fishing village of Oslob has developed a relationship with a group of 40K lb whale sharks by regularly feeding them their natural food- plankton. They invite tourists to snorkle and swim alongside the massive whale sharks during the gathering.
As I mention in the video, there is some controversy surrounding the whale shark encounter. Just for the sake of staying informed, here is an article that outlines the reasons the practice might not be the best idea.
Personally, I did not witness any physical interactions or injuries to the whale sharks during my time in the water.

#swimmingwithwhalesharks #shark #sharweek #amazingphilippines #filipinofun
It's day 3 in Cebu, we have rented a car, and we set off for a fun filled adventure day.
We leave at 5am, and take our time driving down, enjoying the beautiful sunrise are we drive down the coast, and stop anytime we something interesting.. which is a lot.
We get to olsob, and after paying 1000 pesos per person, we head out on a boat to swi with the whale sharks.
This was an amazing experience, and we really tried not to get too close, but it was sometimes difficult as they swam right up to you, so very close, you could feel the pull of the water when they were eating .. i almost felt like they were going to swallow the gopro
and when we were done.. our car wouldn't start

BAD EXPERIENCE SWIMMING WITH WHALE SHARKS IN OSLOB CEBU PHILIPPINES
Whilst doing research on Swimming with Whale Sharks in Oslob, Cebu, not once did we come across a bad review. We must have been looking in the wrong places, as we ourselves had quite an eye-opening experience. Yes the 'experience' itself was incredible to be able to get so close to these beautiful, calm creatures, but at what cost for the sharks?
