Join us as we visit Wrocław, Poland in this travel guide highlighting some of the best things to do in the city. Our surprise one month trip around Poland (we originally intended on only a week or so) allowed us to travel slowly and visit destinations we wouldn't have visited otherwise. One of those spots, Wrocław, ended up being one of our favorite spots along the way. With a cool University Quarter, Old Town Square, Cathedral Island and laidback atmosphere it didn't take us long to feel at home. Come find out 10 things you can do in Wrocław below:

10 Things to do in Wrocław, Poland Travel Guide
In today’s video we’re taking you around Wroclaw. This was the second stop of our month-long trip through Poland, and we liked it right from Day 1. Our visit to the city was spent wandering through the University Quarter, cruising down the Oder River, stumbling into a secret courtyard, and enjoying a tasty meal or two along the way. The following is our travel guide to some of the best things to do in Wroclaw, Poland:
The University Quarter is located in the north end of the Old Town and it’s worth visiting even if your days as a student are over. Here you’ll find the University of Wroclaw, which is one of the oldest academic institutions in Central Europe. The architecture is also stunning! I mean, could you imagine being a student here?
Since we couldn’t visit the interior of the university, we stopped by the university church, also known as the Parish of the Most Holy Name of Jesus. Admission is free of charge, though donations are welcome, and once you’re in, don’t forget to look up!
Continuing our random wanderings through Wroclaw, we reached the Ossolineum, which quickly piqued our curiosity. Once a hospital and convent, and later a college, today it houses one of the largest scientific libraries in Poland as well as the national archive. We visited the courtyard surrounded by mirrored windows and hydrangeas, and if felt like a secret garden.
Cathedral island is the oldest part of Wroclaw. It was formerly an island that sat between two branches of the Oder River, and while that’s no longer the case, it still has a cathedral.
With much better weather, we then followed the previous day’s path back to Cathedral Island. Along the way, we visited the Silver Arch, which is a pretty cool sculpture on one of the smaller islands, and then it was time for a river cruise.
Our next stop was Hala Targowa, or Market Hall. It’s a nice spot to hit up to get your daily supply of fresh fruits, deli meats, cheese and pastries, for a delicious yet affordable do-it-yourself meal.

It’s a beautiful city to visit, located in western Poland on the banks of the River Oder. You will enjoy lots of tourist attractions such as Tumski Bridge, Town Hall nestled on the stunning Market Square or Rynek, Ossolineum garden, The Royal Palace and more. Among the great number of sights of the city there are more than 300 small cute dwarves spread throughout the Market Square. Tourists have a lot of fun looking for them and take funny photos. Spend a beautiful time by the river or walk till dawn exploring this extremely beautiful part of Poland.

Manuscripts from The Ossolineum library in Wrocław / Prestigious Scholarship
In 2019 I created an inspiring research project, which explored the musical manuscripts stored in one of the largest scientific libraries in Poland - The Ossolineum in Wrocław. My work was supported by an Artistic Scholarship granted by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
There are many songs among my discoveries, for that reason the scholarship allowed me to extend both my research interests and practical performance from baroque to early romantic repertoire. The variety music I found, enabled me to develop new recital programmes which I intend to perform with appropriate historical instruments, including the fortepiano.

here I share with you my last experience with the capital of the Lower Silesia (Dolny Śląsk) province, which is WROCŁAW.
The city is located on the Oder river, in the center of the Silesian Lowland.
The pearl of Wrocław is definitely the Market Square – one of the largest in Europe, with the town hall being one of the most important monuments of gothic bourgeois architecture in Poland. The most valuable facilities include: the university building with the Baroque Leopoldin Aula and Oratorium Marianum, the Ossolineum, the Sand Island (XIII-XVI century) and the renovated Centennial Hall with the Cognitive Center or the latest attractions, such as the stadium and Humanitarium.
However for me the most beautiful part of Wrocław is Ostrów Tumski. Whenever I’m there I take a time for a walk through LOVE bridge. You need to try it as well. Actually it’s completely MUST DO, MUST VISIT ????❤️

The Ossolineum (Zakład Narodowy im. Ossolińskich)
The Ossolinski National Institute, also called Ossolineum, is one of the largest Polish libraries. One can find priceless old printings and manuscripts there. It is situated in a beautiful baroque building, which recently regained its magnificence and enriched itself with a regular, geometrical garden with XVIII century sculptures of four times of the year. It attracts many students and tourists. There is no other place in Wroclaw with such unique scientific atmosphere.
