Manukau city centre, Auckland, New Zealand
Manukau is one of Auckland's largest suburbs and was formerly a large independant city before the amalgamation with Auckland in 2010. Attractions in and around Manukau include Rainbow's End, Butterfly Creek, Westfield shopping Centre, Howick Historical Village and Auckland International Airport.
This video shows some places in Manukau city centre, such as Westfield shopping malls, Bus and train station, and MIT campus in Manukau.
The information below is from the website
Manukau is the heart of Auckland’s south, a vibrant cosmopolitan centre and home to the largest Polynesian community in the world. For a taste of the Pacific, visit Otara Market, New Zealand’s largest street market bursting with life and flavour.
Hit the rides and rollercoasters at Rainbow’s End, New Zealand’s largest theme park, or visit some of the many other family attractions and activities nearby, including mini golf, paintball, go karting, bike riding and a rope courses.
For something more relaxing, take a stroll through the stunning Auckland Botanic Gardens – picnic on the grass, enjoy a bite in the café and find the fantastic sculptures spread through the gardens. Take the kids to Butterfly Creek to walk through the tropical butterfly house full of hundreds of colourful, free-flying butterflies, plus huge saltwater crocodiles and cute farm animals.
And if you’re an aircraft aficionado, see restored classics at the New Zealand Warbirds Visitor Centre at Ardmore Airport.

Best Markets of Auckland
Auckland markets have some super delicious (and super weird) foods. Here are my highlights from around the city.
Find the featured vendors online: kombucha & smoothies by Organic Mechanic ( millefeuille by The Little French Pastry ( croissants by La Cigale ( street food vendors from the Night Markets ( fish and sashimi from the Auckland Fish Market ( Tell them Emily sent you! One of the busiest and most diverse markets in the Auckland region, people come from all over to check out the Sunday Market at Takapuna Beach. While here have a nosey around the boutique shops of Hurstmere Rd and Shore City Mall, and enjoy breakfast, brunch or lunch at one of the many cafes and restaurants. A visit to Takapuna Beach wouldn't be complete without a stroll along the beach!
Avondale Market -Multicultural Auckland Trailer
A smart way of exploring the diversity of a city and recording it would be to go to a flea -market. That's exactly what a team of postgraduate students of Intercultural communication did! They captured the theme of the Avondale Sunday Market to present the Multicultural face of Auckland. This is the shorter version -The original work is 15 minutes.
Auckland Night Market, Aotea square, Auckland CBD
Auckland Night Market, Aotea square, Auckland CBD
On Saturday we went to Auckland Night Market at Aotea square. It’s a great night out for the family
The information below is from the website
Auckland Night Markets are now in seven different locations across Auckland, along with two markets in Hamilton. Starting in Pakuranga in 2010, the Night Markets have steadily expanded and become a regular event in the local entertainment calendar. The markets are growing in popularity due to their appeal to all age groups. The markets are free, but make sure you bring a lot of spending money, as there is plenty of food, fashion, toys and lots of interesting sights and smells to tempt the senses!
It’s a great night out for the family, and the undercover location means it’s an all-weather event. The kids can experience food from other cultures, hear live music and watch performances. Buskers, magicians and dance troupes provide additional entertainment at some events.
Food is the big component, where you can sample cuisine from dozens of different cultures. There are of course the ethnic favourites like Thai and Chinese, and for those looking for something different there are some rare delicacies on offer from most regions of the world. But we won’t spoil the surprise!

???? QUI SUIS-JE ? - WHO I AM ?
My name is Julien Calabro, I was born in the south of France and I strarted to travel around Europe with my family when I was 12 years old. I enjoyed it so much my only thoughts were about travel. At 21 I moved to Paris where I lived by myself for about 5 years. During that time, the pace of my travels has very rapidly increased. I have been to New York, and Canada, then for the first time in Asia in 2012. I also went to Morocco in Africa in 2014. After all these trips my life has been changed a lot and I feeled depressed when I was working in France. At 27 years old I took a radical decision and left my job, my flat and then, my country... I moved to Sydney in Australia for about 2 years, and then now, in Auckland, the biggest city of New Zealand. I don't know what I will do and where I will be tomorrow, but I love my random life around the world.
