Southampton Sailing Week, Another Great Hampshire Day Out For May On The Water!
Getting out on the water has become important for many, if only to escape the pressures of modern life. The ability to leave your work life behind and enjoy the water with fellow competitive racings, or, cruisers has it's own draw - perhaps you can see why so many take up the sport.
See for yourself? Southampton in Hampshire started it's very own sailing week in 2017 and looks to build on this annually going forward. Activities can involve racers, cruisers, day sailors, dinghies, paddle boards, canoes, et al. Visit
More importantly through the many sailing clubs and associations locally the sport can introduce newcomers to the excitement and benefits of being on the water as apart of a day out in Hampshire! For many this may seem daunting, don't worry everyone has to start somewhere and with the Solent's history and involvement as the mecca for UK sailing don't let this put you off – sailing and more importantly boating does not have to be out of reach financially. There are many Southampton Sailing Clubs and Hamble Sailing Clubs. Visit
If you wish to learn then many of the schools are backed by the RYA, who help maintain high standards of learning in the sport. So look out for the affiliation!

According to ilivehere.co.uk, which has been compiling this list for more than a decade, with the votes from thousands of readers, these are the WORST places to live in England.
10: Blackpool
Once famed for its golden mile, Blackpool now conjures up images of drunken stags and hens, falling over in the street and spewing on themselves, before retiring to a grotty seaside B&B.
9: Oldham
The most deprived town in England according to the ONS, where the streets have been described as “graffiti covered, fly-tipped shells of what they once were”.

has the highest rate of teen pregnancies in Europe.
sexual offences, violent crime and theft are all on the up and are higher than the national average. (I’ve seen policemen on pedal bikes chasing chavs in stolen cars. You might not believe it but I really have seen it!)

One voter comments: I have lived in Gravesend all my life. I have visited many other crap towns across Kent like Lewisham, Dartford, Chatham and so on and not one so far, has even came near to being as chav infested as Gravesend.

After a few days watching Southampton cruise guests roll through it was our time to board Sapphire Princess, our home onboard the Princess Cruises ship for the next 7 days! Starting inside our cabin, we wanted to do a ship tour as we walk around and discover whats happening on each of the decks of this cruise, leaving June 2019.
There's 18 decks on Sapphire Princess and we did our best to explore all of the spots most people would see on their holiday, or at least attempt to travel to during the cruise with Princess Cruises. Even still, there's definitely still spots onboard that we didn't show in the tour because the ship is so big! As the cruise goes on we will likely keep discovering more to feature in other cruise vlogs to come soon.
Safe to say we love cruise life! Having our bags unpacked for a week onboard the ship, travelling over night, new locations to explore almost daily - this is special! Check out Princess Cruises here —

Item all about the circus. Chipperfield's Circus is leaving Britain for Africa.

It is a Royal Gala Performance sponsored by the Variety Club of Great Britain. According to the narrator it is the last time Chipperfield's Circus will hoist their big top as they are off to Africa. Performing elephant gingerly steps over the bodies of several women.

Billy Smart's Circus. Performers and animals parade around the ring. Polar bears are led into a circular cage. The bears are made to do all kinds of tricks. Tightrope walker crosses the tightrope with another man standing on his head on top of his head (if you see what I mean). Performing horses trot around the ring. Film intercut with shots of audience including enthralled children.
John Chipperfield is seen training a large horse. Elephant is made to do a handstand. Young woman tends to a camel. Animals are led past the camera to board a boat The story of Noah's Ark brought up to date says the narrator. John Chipperfield boards the boat holding a baby tiger in his arms. Captain gets to hold it too. Monkey waves a handkerchief and applauds. He is led onto the ship. Monkey is given a cigarette to smoke. Animals are seen on board ship. The chimp is seen dressed in a sailor's outfit helping to steer the boat.

Norwegian Escape is in the Breakaway Plus class of voyage boats which will incorporate the Norwegian Escape and a second unit, initially named Norwegian Bliss.
