Free ice cream on Canada Day! (Ottawa)
It was a scorching heat wave this Canada Day 2018 in Ottawa, with temperatures that were above 34 C with a humidex that reached 47 C in the afternoon, the highest temperature ever recorded in Ottawa.
It's with no surprise that this initiative from Loblaws of giving away free ice cream on Canada Day close to Parliament Hill was so popular and welcomed by everyone who decided to go out and celebrate Canada Day (including myself).
Butterflies
Beautiful butterflies for your enjoyment.

Montreal, Canada Day 1 ~ Travel Vlog/Video!!
Hi Everyone!
Welcome back to all those who are returning and welcome to all those who are new~
This video is the first part of the three-part series I am doing on my trip to Canada in Summer 2018 (if you would like to skip forward to the part of the trip in Montreal, Canada, you can do so at 1:38!)
I will put all of the places I went to down below!! If anyone has any questions or comments, feel free to let me know!~
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
June 25, 2018 (Montreal, Canada: Day 1)
--woke up 5am, left 5:30am
--1st stop: atwater market at 11:30am (got little bites to eat)
before going to schwartz for lunch at 1pm (a bit of wait but decent sandwiches!)
--then went to notre dame basilica at 2:45pm but it closed early due to holiday so we walked around until our meter expired (very cute area)
--then we went to the botanical garden at 4pm (we thought it was only a couple of dollars to get in but found out i was looking at how much would be taken off rather than the actual price-regardless we were able to save money by buying the family pack and got in for about $10 US per person)-not bad, pretty good actually. we actually wanted to go to the botanical garden because of a exhibit that was shown online (if you search up on google, you'll see this BEAUTIFUL sculpture of a woman that looks like Tafiti from Moana) however, apparently that was from years ago and they took it down and are showing somewhere else...gah, so upsetting.
--anyways, the japanese garden was closing at 5pm so we went there first then made our way around by going to the rose garden, the insectarium, then the green house and the chinese garden before heading back around 6pm (when the park closes)-bit of a walk if you don’t catch the shuttle that takes you up to the opposite entrance (which is where we parked)
--we then got dinner to go at poutineville and went to beaver lake (the waitress at the restaurant told us that we can’t drive up to mount royal so we would have to hike-which we didn’t want to do, so we went to beaver lake instead)-pretty nice to be honest haha
--after we finished eating we then went to our airbnb, washed up and went to sleep!
Overall, we had a fairly good time on our first day in Montreal. We were exhausted from waking up early, driving for almost 6 hours and touring around all day but still enjoyed ourselves. I hope you all liked this first part of the Montreal/Quebec, Canada series~ Until next time, have a great week :)

Watch The Infamous 'Ice Car' Be Liberated From Frozen Shell
More from Inside Edition:
The infamous 'ice car' found three days ago in an upstate New York parking lot has been freed by a tow truck. Justin Yelen left his car parked overnight at a Hamburg restaurant. When he returned the next day, he found the vehicle completely incased in ice by waves from Lake Erie. On Wednesday a plan was hatched to liberate the frozen Mitsubishi Lancer from its icy prison. The ice around the car was melted so that a tow truck could free the car. It was then taken to an auto shop to defrost.
