n the serene surrounding of Thondvaddo of Betalbatim Village Goa and on way to the Beach stands this lovely Chapel of Lady of Lourdes. A testimony of the hard work put in by the village folks of Thondvaddo this Chapel will be remembered for the dedicated effort put in by all the men and women who live in this village. How this 400 years old chapel has been transformed into this lovely place of worship is a story worth remembering. A dream come true for the folks of Betalbatim, Project was led by Father Alexander and his team.Here are some pictures of the Chapel which shows the chapel but does not show the spirit of folks of this village who build this.

The parish of our lady of remedies - kirem, is situated kms to the North - East of mangalore.

Till 1780 a portuguese missionary used to visit this cammunity to take care of the spiritual needs. In 1783 a bigger was built in 1784 a Goan priest came here. The newly built church was #demolished by #Tippu's #soldiers who took christians as captives.

There is a local tradition which says that local bunts protected this church

Even today the local bunts are honored by the parish during the parish feast..
