Lawai Beach Poipu Kauai
Aloha folks this is Coldwell Banker Turtle Cove Realty with another video showcasing what makes our island home of Kauai so special.
In the resort community of Poipu is a tropical gem called Lawai Beach.
Known as one of the best snorkeling beaches it is reef protected and the fish are as gentle as a Hawaiian rain. While snorkeling rub your fingers together and scores of Angelfish instantly become your friend, and don’t be surprised if you discover a rare Hawaiian monk seal or green Hawaiian sea turtles. Fishing is prohibited and the residents know it.
For all you surfers out there, First Break is a consistent wave that is ideal for novices when the powerful winter swells hit the North Shore.
This has been Coldwell Banker Turtle Cove Realty in Poipu Kauai, if you have any questions about Kauai real estate for sale or Poipu condos for sale we are the experts.

Visiting Waimea Canyon State Park, State Park in Waimea Canyon Dr, Waimea, HI 96796, United States
Waimea Canyon, also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, is a large canyon, approximately ten miles (16 km) long and up to 3,000 feet (900 m) deep, located on the western side of Kauaʻi in the Hawaiian Islands of the United States. Waimea is Hawaiian for reddish water, a reference to the erosion of the canyon's red soil.[1] The canyon was formed by a deep incision of the Waimea River arising from the extreme rainfall on the island's central peak, Mount Waiʻaleʻale, among the wettest places on earth. Waimea Canyon Bike Tour on Kauai - July 15, 2015
We woke up early to take a downhill bike tour along the Waimea Canyon. The air was so refreshing at an elevation above 3,000 feet. As you can see, there are gorgeous images of the green and orange canyon as well as the blue ocean and sky.

Summer Vacation 2013 Kauai
In June 2013 we went to Kauai and had many excellent adventures. We snorkeled at Tunnels Beach (bad), Ke'e Beach (okay) and Poipu Beach (good), but there was huge surf all week, so the water was murky and we got battered about a lot. It would've been okay if we were all experienced snorkelers, but it was the kids' first time. We also went mountain tubing (which is like the lazy river on steroids) with Kauai Outfitters, Ziplining with Outfitters Kauai and Kayaked up the Wailua River to Secret Falls with Rainbow Kayak. All were excellent. In our spare time we visited Waimea Canyon, did a little shopping and hung out in the pool at our resort in Poipu. Somewhere in all that we enjoyed a luau at Smith Family Garden Luau (we hoped in vain for a discount based on our common last name), discovered the joy of Uncle's Shaved Ice, Papalani's Gelatto, Lappert's Ice Cream and Bubba's Burgers. Mmm... Papalani's...
The video was shot with a GoPro Hero 3 and an iPhone 5 and edited with iMovie; my first attempt, and yes, its ROUGH. I apologize for the sound quality, I ran out of energy to make the corrections.
Hawaii - Driving Kauai - Driving Down Waimea Canyon
Driving down Wiamea Canyon (Kokee Road) to the town of Wiamea. The video starts some ways down (right before the first official scenic pull off), since we were racing to keep out of the rain rolling in. Be careful of the slow moving downhill bike tours. They try and pull off for traffic but pull offs are hard to come by.
Queen's Bath Kauai
Queen's Bath, Princeville, Kauai. For detailed information including safety tips visit the following website:
The video contrasts the Queen's Bath area during stormy and calmer seas (Mar 22 and Mar 26, 2010). Forecast surf heights were 4-6ft vs 12-15ft.
Wailua River Kayaking + Secret Falls Hike + Day 2 - Kauai, Hawaii - June 2019 - Travel Vlog
Uluwehi Falls, also known as Secret Falls, is a beautiful place to kayak the Wailua River. Kauai’s Wailua River is the only navigable river in the state; a fun combination of kayaking and hiking. It's two miles each way for the kayaking part of the trip. The hike begins right from the bank, and it's 1.5 miles round trip.
Calm waters, hot, humid, but breezy, and dry hiking trail; it was a perfect weather and season combination to enjoy this activity. The hike to the falls is fairly easy, with a few challenging terrain changes, and that’s during the dry season!
I tried using my Insta360 One X with the Dive Case, but I did not get useable footage!???? I had planned on attaching the device to the boat, but it turned out that I did not bring the sticker or tape for the set up????????♀️, so I held up the camera once-in-a-while instead, but the case fogged up halfway through????

Hawaii Helicopter view of the Volcano Coastline
Taken while in Kauai touring the volcanoes in a helicopter. The weather was bad so we had to cut the tour short and turn back. I hope to make there again someday and complete the tour.
GoPro 2013 Kauai Trip The Garden Isle
This video shows our first trip to Kauai and all the amazing attractions we saw while on the island. Kauai is one of the lushes island in the Hawaii chain and contains endless waterfalls, rivers, rain forests and amazing beaches. I have always dreamed of visiting Kauai and was very glad to finally have a chance to go and see this amazing island. After visiting I really wish I lived in a place like this and enjoyed just driving around and looking out at the scenery. While I was there we stayed on Poipu Beach which is an awesome beach with great sand and crystal clear blue water and nice waves. Next to Poipu beach is the Spouting Horn a really cool blow hole. The north shore of Kauai includes attractions like Tunnels Beach, Kee Beach, Queens Bath and hiking the first section of the Kalalau Trail back to the waterfall on the Na Pali Coast. Another must see is to tour the Sea Caves in a Zodiac boat. We went with Captain Andy's and had a great time. The crew was really great and made sure we had everything we needed. The Na Pali North coastline is the wildest looking coast I have ever seen in my life. It has huge 4,000 foot cliffs that rise right out of the ocean with caves and all kinds of waterfalls in and outside of the sea caves. I Used GoPro Black edition to create the following video.
Waimea Canyon & the Kalalau Lookout
After attending church in Kapa'a, Kauai on a Sunday morning, we ventured from our Poipu condo to the sweepong vistas of Waimea Canyon. We made it to the top of highway 550 to the overlook of the Kalalau Valley on the NaPali coast
Boating on the Hule'ia River
