Scuba Diving Yung Pen Shipwreck | Owhiro Bay, Wellington NZ | GoPro Hero 5
My first time to explore the remains of the Taiwanese fishing boat, Yung Pen, which lies only a few metres below the surface in Owhiro Bay, Wellington, New Zealand. Scuba diving to the wreck site is very easy as it's not far from the shore. Although there is not much left of the wreck to see and it is mostly overgrown, it is still an enjoyable dive site.
This area is within the marine reserve which means you are not allowed to take/kill any marine life. Unfortunately I came across a few harvested paua shells.

Neuseeland 2017 #13 - Cable Bay - Marlborough Sounds - Picton - Wellington
Von Cable Bay führte uns der Weg ostwärts zu den Marlborough Sounds. Auf dem Queen-Charlotte-Drive kommt man auf kurvenreicher Strecke immer am Meer entlang nach Picton.
Die kleine Hafenstadt liegt idyllisch in den Sounds und man kann hier gut einige Stunden verbringen, während man auf die Fähre zur Nordinsel wartet.
Mit der Interislander Fähre verlassen wir am Abend die Südinsel und setzen über die raue Cook Strait nach Wellington über.
Das Nachtlager befindet sich in Owhiro Bay südlich von Wellington auf einem Gratisstellplatz am Te Kopahou Vistor Center direkt am Meer .

It feels great to be back in Wellington! The weather permitted Adam and I a quick visit to Taputeranga marine reserve, covering Island Bay and Owhiro bay on Wellington's South coast. Great visibility, calm seas and cold waters.
