OYSTER BRIDGE IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA IS THE BEST SNORKELLING WE HAVE EVER DONE!!
Only an hours drive from Coral Bay on the Ningaloo Reef, WA is a Sweet little spot called Oyster Bridge! It is amazing how much sea life lives in this little lagoon created by an Oyster Bridge!
Oyster Stacks, Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia
A fish eye view while snorkeling close to the waters edge at the Oyster Stacks on the Ningaloo Reef.

Oyster Stacks Snorkel
This was a difficult snorkel - the launch site is off rocks and as the site is close to the edge of the reef, the effects of any waves is magnified and the currents are quite strong. The wrong approach could either dump you onto the shoreline rocks or onto the razor sharp oyster stacks themselves. This video shows a school of dart fish battling the current and the swell that day (as well as my own attempt to master the current). You can also see from the sediments in the water how turbulent the water is. Definitely not for the inexperienced snorkeler or swimmer.

Sea Turtle - Oyster Stacks, Western Australia's Coral Coast
Snorkeling at Oyster Stacks in the Cape Range National Park, Western Australia. We bumped into this beautiful sea turtle who was just as intrigued by us as we were by him, he definitely wasn't camera shy, so cute! Such an amazing experience - Perfect start to 2016

Synchrodensity (Oyster Stacks)
Cape Range National Park, Exmouth, the lesser known snorkelling spot known as Oyster Stacks, part of the Ningaloo Reef where the continental shelf is closest to the coast. As Bruce discovered, synchrodensity can be found here. Song: Orinoco Flow by Enya.
Snorkelling at Lakeside Sanctuary Reef in Ningaloo National Park, Exmouth Western Australia
Lakeside Sanctuary Zone is one of the possible snorkelling locations at Ningaloo National Park. We checked it out briefly while we were there, here are my thoughts on it and some footage of how to get to the actual snorkel zone (it's a little confusing) and what we saw when we got there.
