Mumbles & Oystermouth Castle - A Quick Tour Of Swansea Bay, Wales
A quick look at Mumbles and Oystermouth Castle on Swansea Bay in South Wales.
Mumbles is the headland at the end of Swansea Bay and is the start of the beautiful coastline of the Gower Peninsula.
The Victorian pier is being renovated and at it’s end is the new RNLI lifeboat station. The old lifeboat station with the red roof still exists along side the pier.
A short walk along Swansea Bay is Oystermouth Castle. The Norman Castle was built in 1106 and used to about 1650.
From the ruins there is great view of Mumbles and Swansea Bay.

Haunted Castle - (Oystermouth Castle Swansea - 3 of 3)
We got private access to a Haunted Castle in Mumbles (Swansea area). Oystermouth was built in the 12th century and has many spooky tales of its past. We got to hear about the resident ghosts and how life worked back then.
We explored the Welsh countryside on horseback at Clyne Farm centre before a climb at the LC2 in Swansea.

First camping trip with the baby
Our first week away camping in a long time and Tobin's first time camping.
----------------------------------------------------
This is our first time camping in a while and Tobin's first time camping. This is not really the best time of year to go camping with a baby for the first time but hey, who cares...
We found this campsite online as we wanted to explore Wales as we have not visited together before. So we are in the Swansea area and falls into the Gower Peninsula area. Now we were about 20 mins out from Swansea so just a short drive.
We visited a few places along the way but overall had a great time.

Road trip to Wales | Day 4 - Mumbles, Oystermouth Castle & more..
Our road trip to Wales continues with day 4. We head to Mumbles, a traditional seaside town in Swansea Bay. We browse the boutique shops and galleries before heading to Oystermouth Castle for a guided tour and crafting for the kids. Lunch is taken at Pierre Bistrot - a gorgeous French restaurant overlooking the bay. We head back to The King's Head where we're staying for a quick drink in the sun and a family game of pictionary (picked up from a charity shop for just £3) and then end our day at Welcome To Town, a quirky pub and restaurant in Gower with make your own pizzas, fabulous ribs and huge chicken wings! Our evening ends with sheep visiting our room and a couple take residence and spend the night in the pub garden.
Check out our past videos from the trip here:
Day one (leaving Northumberland and checking into our half way hotel in Nottingham):
Day two (visiting Wayne Manor aka Wollaton Hall in Nottingham, driving the rest of the way to Wales and checking into our accommodation for the next three nights - The King's Head in Gower):
