Washington's Communities are in crisis because of the 1% property tax cap that has been placed on local governments. Funding for public safety is growing as the population grows. However, revenue for these services is capped at 1% growth a year. Due to this budget gap, our communities are less safe now then they were a decade ago.
Counties and cities are asking that the Washington Legislature replaces the 1% property cap with a sustainable revenue structure based on population and inflation.

Nahcotta, WA Where the Clamming Territory Disputes are Revisited Yearly
Under state law, diggers can take 15 razor clams per day and are required to keep the first 15 they dig. Each digger's clams must be kept in a separate container. Diggers may not harvest any part of another person's daily limit, unless they possess a designated harvester card.
This is an interesting area. It doesn't get a large population. The crowds tend to be older than middle age. --------------------- Protect nesting birds? Don't the seagulls eat the eggs that humans don't step on?
Stormy Day On The Beach
Had the VW stuck on the Klipsan beach approach at noon . At 2 pm the WA State Patrol called for a DUI on Oysterville approach . The car was a 1991 Ford Escort . The car had no wipers and the altnator was out . I had to jump start it to get it into the impound yard . The driver plowed into the end of the beach access and buried it to the frame . If you look right in front of the Escort you will see a good sized log . With the sand blowing and no wipers he didn't have a clue where he was going . I had to take the truck back to the shop and use self tapping screws to remount my hood cover back on . We are expecting up to 60 mph gust tonight . I cut most of the cussing out when my hood blew off .
