Hokkaido trip - Noboribetsu's Jigokudani / Hell Valley, Oyunuma, Natural footbath, Seicomart dinner
Transport yourself into the intriguing beauty of Noboribetsu's nature. Breathtaking views of Noboribetsu's Jigokudani, also known as Hell Valley awaits. Continue on an off beaten track to Oyunuma and Natural footbath. This is also an onsen town, home to reputable onsen hotels.
We had a surprisingly yummy dinner at Seicomart!
Recommendations: Stay in Takimoto inn or Daichi Takimotokan to enjoy the onsen in Daichi Takimotokan with many different types of hotspring waters. Definitely grab a meal and snacks off the shelves of Hokkaido born Seicomart convenience store.
Seicomart must try items:
1. Katsu Don
2. Seicoma rockmelon jelly
Tip: Noboribetsu is well connected from Sapporo by public transport.

登別温泉 大湯沼 北海道 Noboribetsu Oyunuma Hokkaido JAPAN ♨
Noboribetsu 登別市 (Ainu: nupur-pet) is a city in Iburi Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. From the valley, there are attractive walking trails through the wooded hills above Noboribetsu. If you follow them for about 20 to 30 minutes, you will get to Oyunuma, a sulfurous pond with a surface temperature of 50 degrees Celsius and a smaller, even hotter, mud pond nearby.
The name, Noboribetsu derives from an Ainu word, nupur-pet, which means dark-coloured river.

In this video we went to Noboribetsu, this is a bit of a shorter one since we spent most of our time relaxing in the onsen. When we were out an about we explored Jigokudani / Hell Valley and went up the mountain to see some bears.

Located in the south part of Hokkaido in the town of Noboribetsu Onsen, the Hell Valley, also known as Jigokudani, is divided in into two amazing natural wonders. Jigokudani and Oyunuma. We will cover Jigokudani in another video. Oyunuma Pound a sulfurous pond with a surface temperature of 50 degrees Celsius. While Oyunuma Pond can be enjoyed all year long, it is during autumn and its amazing colors that Noboribetsu, its pond, and Hell Valley are at their best!

Jigokudani (Hell Valley) - Noboribetsu, Hokkaido, Japan
Jigokudani or Hell Valley is a spectacular, appropriately named valley just above the town of Noboribetsu Onsen, which displays hot steam vents, sulfurous streams and other volcanic activity. It is a main source of Noboribetsu's hot spring waters.
From the valley, there are attractive walking trails through the wooded hills above Noboribetsu. If you follow them for about 20 to 30 minutes, you will get to Oyunuma, a sulfurous pond with a surface temperature of 50 degrees Celsius and a smaller, even hotter, mud pond nearby.
