Producer's Day Off | OZ Whale Watching | Sydney
The life of a video producer is hectic and demanding, often visiting amazing places without ever getting the chance to truly enjoy them. So when the chance comes for a day off, you make the most of it...
Sydney full of amazing attractions, some obvious, some hidden; but to appreciate the true beauty of the city, you have to take to the water.
Oz Whale Watching is our 'go-to' when we need to escape the city and definitely one of the must do excursions when arriving in Sydney.

WHALE WATCHING- SYDNEY AUS
It’s that time of year for many Humpback whales to migrate up the East coast of Australia for the winter and I was lucky enough to see a few! We went on the “Go Whale Watching” boat and it was such a good time, would highly recommend to anyone planning on visiting Sydney!

Whale Watching - Sydney
Whale watching commences in mid May and goes until the beginning of December each year. In May, the humpbacks begin passing by Sydney on their Northern Migration, and by early August these whales have moved onto their breeding grounds up north. From July to September we have the Southern Right whales, Humpbacks and dolphins visiting the coast, not to mention the great albatrosses and other winter sea birds you rarely see anywhere else in the world. Mid to late August, to the beginning of December sees the return of the Humpback whales on their Southern migration. We have a 98% successful rate on our cruises, so we offer our whale guarantee.
On departure you will have the opportunity to also see the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Fort Denison and the Outer Harbour as we travel out to the heads. Video Credit: Captain Cook Cruises

Whale watching in Sydney
Multiple sightings of humpback whales in Sydney, during their northern migration. They use the Inshore Northern current (a north flowing counter current to the Eeast Australian Current) to get to the Coral Sea, where they breed and give birth to their calves. Observations made in the 26th week of the year (28 June 2015, between 09:00am and 11:00am) - the best time for whale watching in recent years.
