The beach Pachia Ammos, located 20 km east of Agios Nikolaos and about 10 km from Ierapetra, in front of the village Pachia Ammos in Crete. It is a beach with thick sand and pebbles, which is exposed to winds. The western part of the beach, however, is protected by the breakwater of the harbor that is there, when the sea is calm and clear. The beach at this point, is organized with umbrellas and sunbeds.

Pachia Ammos Beach, Nisyros - A hidden treasure of the South Aegean!

The best beach of Nisyros!
Made of coarse black sand (or very small black pebbles, depends on how you see it), it is located on the eastern part of the island. In order to reach it you have to walk on a trail of medium difficulty (you see it on the first part of the video). The water is not very deep and it's crystal clear!
Because the sand is black and of volcanic origin, it is scorching hot!!
Free camping and nudism are both allowed. And that's way you don't see very good views of the whole beach (sorry!)
That is, imo, one of the best hidden beaches of the Aegean...

The only sandy beach on Samothraki, Pachia Ammos is on the south coast of the island. Accessible by car or bus from Kamariotissa, it is a beautiful place to spend the day relaxing at the sea. Pachia Ammos Beach, meaning thick sand, is about 350 meters wide. The sand is very coarse and dark. Anyone who wishes to visit should be aware that there is no shade and that nudism is prevalent. Access to the beach is difficult, it is 10 km from Mandraki, on the eastern side of the island.

Άλλη μία εκπληκτική παραλία των Κυκλάδων, η Παχιά Άμμος της Τήνου, όνομα και πράγμα!! Η Παχιά Άμμος βρίσκεται στα νότια του νησιού απέναντι από τη Μύκονο, αρκετά κοντά στην πόλη της Τήνου, ο δρόμος, ωστόσο, θέλει λίγο ψάξιμο και στο τέλος θέλει λίγο περπάτημα. Δεν έχει καμία οργάνωση, διατηρεί έτσι ατόφια την ομορφιά της, έχει πεντακάθαρα κρυστάλλινα νερά, χρυσή αμμουδιά, που χαρίζει καταπληκτικό πράσινο χρώμα στα νερά και έναν αμμόλοφο στη μία της άκρη, που ανάλογα με τον άνεμο και την εποχή, ψηλώνει και χαμηλώνει! Μία πανέμορφη, εξαιρετικά φωτογενής παραλία, από όλες της τις γωνίες. Εμείς την πετύχαμε με ελάχιστο αέρα και μας χάρισε αξέχαστες στιγμές. Ακολουθήστε τις συμβουλές των ντόπιων για να την επισκεφτείτε την κατάλληλη στιγμή, γιατί το αγέρι του νησιού δεν αστειεύεται!!
